oh I've eaten in Porters many years ago, good choice Westy!

As for the duck tour I do hope you are asking Quackers to be your tour guide :)

Oh that's good! Of course Quackers must be the guide, wouldn't have it any other way ;) , hope she's free. :D

I'm doing an itinerary too biggrin.gif

We're off on 25th July for 5 days.

We're going to see Dirty Dancing - but I guess your boy wont be into that!

You must do the London Eye Panda - we did a couple of years ago & it was fab.

Covent garden is good too - all the street performers and the cute shops. :)

What about Hard Rock Cafe? I've used my clubcard vouchers & got £40 towards food there. You can book a table online - and they'll have plenty for August I'm sure cos I only booked the other day for July.

I missed getting tickets for the key thingy that Nile mentioned too :(

I'm going to try and book tickets for a BBC tour tomorrow but not sure if its too late for that. I've read that they are good.

And now I've read this thread i'm tempted towards the duck tour too!

We did the bus tour and river cruise last tiem we went and it was fab so you should enjoy that. On the tickets we got you could hop on and off the buses at any stop so it was fab to use to see all the sights - I presume they are all like that?

I tried to book tickets for afternoon tea at the Ritz cos I thought it'd be fun for me and the girls to get all dressed up for the afternoon but it was fully booked :( - we'd have had to have eaten before we went though - cucumber sandwices wouldn't fill my two laughing-smiley-014.gif)

    Have fun :)
Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...

    I've started my itinerary

Drive down Sat.....swim and chill at hotel:beer:

then into London to go.........on the eye! and then dinner at Porters:j

Sunday we'll use the bus tour tickets and river boat cruise, dinner out :j

Monday its off to the Motor Show and in the afternoon do the duck:rotfl:

Tuesday, a lie in and drive home....

So I've booked the eye package, got deals to cover the bus, got a few voucher print outs for meals/restaurants and got a few deals on hotels :j
Just wish the fuel wasn't so expensive but heyyyy....just need to sort out an oyster card to get in and out of London, staying outside the Capital.
I think we have time to visit a park or wander along and people watch :T

apologies if this isnt the right board...

im going to London in a few weeks with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday and would like to book a really nice restaurant for us... we're staying around Bloomsbury/Holburn so anything around there will be fab, altho we can always get a taxi... and im fairly flexible on price, kinda....! :p

I thought there was a revolving resturant in London (old BT tower or something) but when i googled its now closed?! Anyway, something like that would be great!

    Would welcome any suggestions :)

I've now got hotel booked, choose one of those "mystery ones" that only show the name in confirmation e mail. Looks very posh though & I carn't find it cheaper anywhere, try as I might.

I ordered a rail card yesterday pm, and it arrived today :j It's cut the train fare to just under half, so £12 very well spent :D
