Sorry - I meant the food wasn't great so I was glad I hadn't wasted many calories as the portions were small!!!

    Evening all,

OH and I are finally in London! Woo-hoo!

The flight from Kansai to Hong Kong was almost unbearable - due to another passenger. OH was sitting in the window seat and I was sitting next to him in an aisle seat (there was only two seats on the left and right hand sides of the aircraft - with 3 seats in the middle section). Anyways - half a meter away from me was a Japanese woman sat on an aisle seat in the middle seating section.

Imagine, if you can, a really really really whiney girl who really WANTS something from her mother and puts on that high pitched whine to get what she wants. Got that screetchy, whiney voice in your mind? Well - thats the passenger I was subjected to for 3 hours - 3 ENTIRE HOURS. She did not shut up the ENTIRE JOURNEY! Her huband just nodded his head - I didn't hear his voice once. The entire aircraft could hear her - several people glared at her - but of course nobody said anything. She was prattling on about their trip. Then - just 10 minutes before we landed she burst into tears (was talking about someone I presume is now dead). I was glad - as she meant she couldn't talk anymore. OH was undistrubed by all this as he sneakly had a pair of earplugs with him!

Thankfully she was not on our connecting flight to London. However a 3 year old girl was sat in front of me. Furthermore two 10 year olds were sat in the middle section next to us. I feared the worst. Thankfully - they were awesome! No issues that entire flight. PLUS the food was not only edible BUT I'd go so far to say it was nice! Way to go Cathy Pacific! Their food is far superior to KLM, however KLM's in flight entertainment is MUCH MUCH better. Cathy Pacific just have a bunch of channels that loop THE SAME PROGRAMS for 12 hours! What a joke! KLM have over 200 movies and numerous tv shows that you select ON DEMAND and can pause etc - none of this looping BS. Have to say I prefer KLM - as I'd rather have good entertainment than good food on a 12 hour flight!

I've been a MAJOR TOURIST in London - ha ha! Will give you guys a link to my photos as soon I get home to Glasgow and get them all uploaded!

BrightonBelle - I shall investigate the boat name further - OH is at the other end of the Internet cafe at the moment - and get back to you.

    Take care everyone,

    PinkLipgloss

I hope your onward journey is a pleasant one (sounds like something the cabin crew would say :p) and that we'll hear from you again really soon xxx

Ooh glad you're enjoying the Tour too BB! The best is yet to come I'm sure although Cav's win was so exciting! :D Lots of nasty looking crashes so far though :( Fortunately most of them have looked worse than they actually are.

Glad you're enjoying the yoghurt making! I had a brief stint with a yoghurt maker when my son was very young, but it didn't last long :o Don't you enjoy financial reviewing? I quite like it... am I sad? Hahaha.
Yes, that tree incident looked potentially very nasty. However as you say, fortunately not as bad as it looked today. Brilliant breakaway by sanchez. The timing of the peleton always does amaze me, but they couldn't quite catch up today.
Just had HM yogurt and butterscotch angel delight ( must find 'fainting with delight' smilie). As for the financial review - trouble is, I'm frugal and money wise, and my OH, it has gradually become apparent as we have got to know each other, isn't. In fact money issues cause him complete meltdown and I'm carrying him, so review = my hard earned savings bailing him out. I think this is the last of it but he seems unable to actively increase his money earning potential dispite obvious methods being available. He is a truely lovely person, just totally money phobic and can't get out of a cycle of feeling old and past it and on the scrap heap:( .
PLG - it is so good to hear from you. Feels weird to think of you over here!
Yeah, Beanie is back too:j :j . I missed you both.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Hi Victory could you email her a copy of your flight booking - then she can see how far back you had planned to stay for 4 weeks (eg from the start) and explain that your mum got things messed up not you. I know you probably have explained all this to her but thought it might 'prove' things.
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

Welcome back Beanie! Sorry to hear it was a bit stressful though and I'm sorry about your friend's bereavement :(

How's the financial review going, BB?

Well done again Kymrob - more than two thirds of the way there now!

Today is a (slightly overdue) rest day from exercise, it's going to seem weird watching tv without pedalling! I want to really go for it next week though so I know I need a day off.

This is Day 6 of the higher calories per day (1500), it was fine earlier in the week but now it feels all wrong and I suspect I'll be making changes next week. I just can't seem to get this intake vs exercise balance right at all

Is everyone having a good weekend so far? :)
