just had a banana instead of chocolate - getting there ;)

my lunches this week have been cold ham on wholemeal rolls

and my evening meals have been healthy - been filling myself up with plenty veg (cauliflower, brocolli and carrots) with fish. Had a couple of tatties with Monday's dinner too.

I have ate chocolate this week, however, instead of a massive chocolate bar in the evening with two big glasses of chocolote milkshake I bought a few WeightWatchers mousses that were pretty good.

I've decided to go for a gradual phase out of chocolate. I feel that my cravings are reducing already. Mid-afternoon and evening after my main meal have been the most challenging cravings to resist.

Well done on the losses coming in, the exercise and the change in eating habits :T It's all sounding very positive!
I had a turnaround moment yesterday which will be helping me as well so all good!
For those mid-afternoon slumps, try eating some protein with whatever you're eating as this'll help the energy from the food release more slowly. FG, what about another ham roll mid afternoon or does it still need to be sweet at the mo? Yoghurt? In the evening, a Options hot choc or similar can sometimes be enough to take the edge off. You are doing so well already, I'm really impressed with your changes and sensible approach, go you! :T
    Ooh Missy, new trainers :heartpuls

  • Hi everyone

My weight this week is PLUS 3lbs

Groan. Have done my usual binge after starting a weight loss programme. Am now trying to be sensible and grown up and move on by starting again.

It's an achievement to confess the weight gain on here though, and I've been keeping my food and exercise diary going, whereas I would normally have abandoned it by now, so I'm still feeling reasonably positive.

Bit fed up with the self sabotage, though. *sigh*

  • Thanks to everyone for all the welcomes :D seems like a very supportive group!!

Lois Lane - am trying to lose about another stone and a half, although evenings out and glasses of wine seem to be getting in the way!! Well done on your loss so far too! How far have you got to go?

Worried about tonight (as ever!) but am finding the weigh ins the best motivation to stop reaching for a piece of cake!!

By the way any SW members out there, made the rogan josh from the curry book that was free with this month's magazine and it was gorgeous! :j
:j Bring on the bargains!!!! :j

    Well done FG :T

That is such a positive post. I think you're taking a very sensible approach by cutting down gradually. Depends on personality type, I guess, but I ALWAYS fall off the bandwagon by going zero tolerance, so hurrah for you.

And I agree with the others.

    Change your name ;)

Got them! Went and had the video gait test and everything :rotfl:

Will take a while to build back to up running the distances I was doing before, so I thought it was a good time to break in a new pair :) My first ever serious pair of running shoes! :D

It happens to us all, the trick is to learn from it, to not let it happen again or if it does make sure that it is only for a day or two and does not make you defeatist, every positive rejoice it, every negative say ho hum and move on, fast and that way it won't beat you, you will beat it:D
