Okay, reporting a 3½lbs loss this week, even with the chip butty (probably made up for it with the not eating today).

Hopefully next week I'll be able to food optimise properly...

blimey, it IS quiet on here!

yeah, ajax, german stuff over here! how very dare they! after they bombed ou chippy an all. Just finished a vinteresting book about the war actually. ever heard of the mass observation project? They basically collect diaries, and i read a collection of 5 from 1939 to 1942. absolutely fascinating to read about the real attitudes and feelings of the times. I never knew just how much chamberlain was hated on the home front.

I've been happily playing with my birthday pressie here (not my b'day for 3 weeks but got the pressie from OH's parents as it was cheaper than anywhere else!. I now have yet another thing to nag me about weight management in the form of the My Health Coach software for my Nintendo DS. Lking it so far but could easily get irritated by it lmao!

Interview tomorrow morning so best think about going to bed.

Congrats to the runners and losers this week - and the gainers and STS don't get too down - it's a new week and a new slate this week.

Reporting a 1 lb loss this week.

well done to all who have lost this week and well done to thoose who have stayed the same too and any who have gained (which will probably be me ) pick yourself up and start again.

i get weighed in about 5 hrs time at my ww meeting and i think i will have put on as i have had 2 days where i have went over my points but i have decided i am gonna deal with it and move on and not blame myself like i have done so many times before because it only gives me an excuse to carry on over eating.

be back later to let you know

very sensible lainie - hope things go okay at your weigh in.

I'm reporting a 0.2kg loss which probably won't show up as anything in lbs, but a loss is still a loss, right!

quite enjoyed bonekickers last night, can't remember who it is who has a crush on stewart from timeteam - is it granny? what did you think of professor parton then?

i rather enjoyed it, but i suspect my archaelogy friends will b e foaming at the mouth over it. I did get shirty when they were analysing 13C cotton - it just doesn't get used for clothes, and certainly not those kind of tabards until the 16C. But overall it was pretty good.

    Good luck Lainie.

    Well done danni & fred.

Well done kpc. You are entirely right, a loss is a loss and it's pretty much half a pound. x

4lb loss for me which I'm very happy with - got rid of last week's big gain and a pound more.

    Right then...

Ajax - I'm always fascinated by people's reasons for being vegetarian, what made you give up meat, and how long ago?

.... it was about 17 years ago. I began to feel more and more guilty about killing animals (or at least employing someone to do it for me) so decided I would no longer have anything killed when there's lots of other things to eat which don't involve suffering. That's it really.
I'm the world's worst vegetarian by the way... my current golf shoes are leather, I'm pretty sure I have a leather glove or two and I eat/drink dairy, which is just the contract killing of male calves really. That's why I never preach vegetarianism to anyone else - there's a scale ranging from militant vegan to raging carnivore and we all belong on it somewhere. Everyone has the right to find their individual place that they feel comfortable with. I feel pretty crappy sometimes about my gloves and that pair of shoes, but try and find solace from my impact being fairly minimal. It doesn't always work though.

There you go - told you I was busy!! We have new thread 22 and we are 9 pages into and I didn't even know it existed:confused:
Anyhow, sorry but no time to read at present, sorry I am not posting or supporting. Weigh in this morning showed maintain so reporting STS this week, which is fair as I have had x2 meals out. Determined to get with it this week and get back down to it. Away to mothers in Cyprus at end of month and last year came back with over 1/2 stone gain. I WILL NOT DO THAT THIS TIME - SHE HAS POOL AND DOG SO LOTS OF FREE EXERCISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she also has very local taverna and extremely cheap delish wine. I have the devil and angel on my shoulders now:mad: :A
Ok back to now, nothing yet for the July challenge but have x2 more weigh ins before I go so would like to do my 5lbs in those two weeks. Then would like to maintain loss over holidays (give or take 1 or 2lbs)
    Hope everyone else is ok.
    Hope to catch up soon:beer:
