    It's spookily quiet here...

Efrieze - I'd definitely be questioning my scales if I'd gained that much in a few days, are you sure they don't need new batteries?

Nah - it's just over eating!:rotfl: They are coming down again (and I am comparing wed 8am to Sunday 11pm (ie after a full 3 days of heavy guzzling!). The 15lb gain (in 5 days - a record? ) has gone down to a 6lb gain so the batteries must be fine - if you want to put it on the chart, that's fine. Otherwise I will just report the nett position next week.

Thanks ajax for your words of encouragement. It really made me feel positive about rectifying the naughtiness.

    Today in the gym

Ran 5km in 30 mins 20 Secs (on random programme with some incline (new for me))
    Cycled 2.5 km (level 6) 6 mins
Ran 0.8km in 5 mins to finish off

40 minutes in my lunch hour is really my max. Enjoyed it though.

blimey, it IS quiet on here!

yeah, ajax, german stuff over here! how very dare they! after they bombed ou chippy an all. Just finished a vinteresting book about the war actually. ever heard of the mass observation project? They basically collect diaries, and i read a collection of 5 from 1939 to 1942. absolutely fascinating to read about the real attitudes and feelings of the times. I never knew just how much chamberlain was hated on the home front.
Amazing kpc - I'm just finishing the very same book! It's facinating isn't it. I found myself geting very attached to the individuals and what to know what happened next for them.
They hold the Mass O archive here in Brighton, at Sussex Uni.
It's granny and me who go weaked kneed at stewart... I couldn't watch bone kickers last night - the advert alone had set MrBB off umpteen times(fairly knowledgeable about archaeology).

Tried the silicone mini muffin pan last night - amazing, no grease or cases. Question for kpc and anyone else with lots of baking experience. 1) Half the muffins baked lopsided, like flowers growing towards a light source -do you think this is becasue my oven was too hot?
    2) The muffins were a little on the dry side this morning (12 hrs after cooking and stored in air tight container. Is this this particular recipe or the fact they are small so will go stale quicker. My difficulty is I don't like cake at all, so have to reply on others feedback on the quality of result.
I'll need to do the chart about 6ish tonight peeps, as I am off out for the evening.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Blimey kpc and Bb - some avid readers on here - it's all I can do to bother taking in the names of the Readers' Wives, let alone flip the page to read the stories.

..naughty naughty Yorkshire :) Our game against Kent will be a non-starter today too for different reasons. It's been hammering down in Birmingham all day.

Don't even get me started on this, or the ECB or the CE of Durham who needs a sock in the mouth for his assertions that Durham should get a bye to the final

...hehehe. To be fair to Durham chappie, he's using his voice to try to protect his interests, it's what we'd all do. It will be very interesting to see what happens tomorrow, it's a right royal mess, little bits of blame lie everywhere. It's all irrelevant cos the mighty Bears will win the trophy anyway :D

All the comments I could think of on this story probably go a bit far on a public forum:rotfl:

quite enjoyed bonekickers last night, can't remember who it is who has a crush on stewart from timeteam - is it granny? what did you think of professor parton then?

Yes it is me, and BB but I don't think she's quite as daft as me, but I didn't see it. All I ever watch is reruns of Time Team, and that I only manage once a week.

I HATE this time of year at school. There is too much to do and not enough time left to do it in. At the same time I wish the days away to the end of term.

    STS please

chart time:j . A bit earlier this week as I am out gallivanting tongiht. I've got this feeling I may have made some mistakes this week so apologies in advance and let me know and I'll correct - it's only becasue several people appear not to have posted who ususally do, and despite checking, I can't see that they have.
Anyway SOTW is Laine with 6lbs  (Laine, you will always be the 1st post of the next weeks chart as you post after the chart on a wed). Well done you. Stick with us. Close runners up are ajax and lemondop with a fantasic 4lb loss each:T . Good stuff. Quite a few sts this week, which is also good going: we longer termers know this will happen, along with some gains, it's the long term we need to be aiming for. Onward and downward peeps . As as granny said this week - sts is still a great achievement: it's maintainng and consolidating losses to date.
