I had a meeting yesterday with my friend who is a nurse and has just done her botox training and is going to use my premises to start her business.
We are going to offer botox, fillers and facial peels.;) :D
It's a world I know nothing about apart from being a 40 something woman with all that goes with that:rotfl: :rotfl: . I just know that if I was ever tempted to go down that path I'd rather have a qualified nurse do it than someone who hasn't got medical experience.
    Any thoughts anyone?

Botox is short for botulinium toxin. It is the one of the worlds most powerful poisions and is used as a nerve agent in bioweapons. There is evidence suggesting that, when used as an anti wrinkle treatment, it can travel down nerve fibres and into the brain within days. The effects of this are not yet known.

Saying that, it may show some promise as therapy for joint diseases, asthma and solid tumors, amongst other conditions, and has been used for over 25 years for cosmetic purposes. There are enough questions for the US Food and Drug administration to conduct a safety review though.

Not something that I would personally want anyone to inject me with, no matter who did it, especially not for cosmetic purposes!

welcome bglam and demondoctor! hope you enjoy the thread.

rofling because i too was thinking of monty python too during bonekickers. The togs gave it a real savaging yesterday morning. Still, I'm prepared to give it another couple of episodes.
crushes on inappropriate people? Most of the ones I fancy are actually fictional! As in it's not David Tennant I like, but the Doctor, I've been crazy about Indiana Jones for years, I like Dirk Pitt(from the books, not necessarily from the film), Banshee from the Xmen and the really shameful one is Harry from Spooks. I am aware that i probably need some specialised help, but I'm quite happy as I am!
