Sorry I've not been around for a couple of days - life decided to get really busy. Still, I've tried to do the old money-saving thing and have to say it's working out quite nicely, despite a few money worries here and there. I'm trying to be positive about it. We did the weekly shop again this week and I'm pleased to report it was a bit lower than normal in spite of the seeming extras we put in. The OH got a coupon for money off fuel, which is a nice bonus.

Beyond feeling very flat (got the market to look forward to on Friday), it's ok. I hope everyone's well. I need a hug!

Beemuzed - just calling back to wish you good luck with the Ofsted inspection - sounds like a nightmare but I'm sure you'll be alright!

evening - not read back yet so hope all is well

dd is off school now for a week - I had to pick her up yesterday and have told school that as I can't get there every three hours to administer medication she wil have to stay home. The good news is that she has decided to renounce vegetarianism (sorry veggies - no offence but it is a bit boring living with a veggie who doesn't do spicy) so I don't have to wait for daddy weekends.

hope all is well - hugs all round

    Hi guys,

Big gentle hugs to all in need today, especially candygirl, pen-pin and anniestar.

I seem to have spent the last few days chasing my tail and getting nowhere  and achieved nothing much to boot. I am really tired at the moment but that will be down to work and all the extra walking involved.

The new nursery must have picked up on my disappointment as this week there has been a member of staff in well before 7.30 and as per contract I have paid for tomorrow but on Tuesday told them that I would not be bringing in the kids as I had a hosi appt and the day off work and would not be getting out of bed at 5.45am if I didn't have to. I got my receipt for the week today and the £15 back for tomorrow so am feeling a lot happier about them. :j

I think it is finally sinking in that this is to be my life for the foreseeable future - alone and having to cope alone (it has been a horrendous weekend with the kids) and I have been feeling incredibly lonely. I miss Eric so much, I spent the majority of Monday on the settee crying and I suppose if I am honest feeling really sorry for myself. It looks like work really is going to save my sanity and I am incredibly lucky that there are a great bunch of people there.

The hairdresser for the clients at work who does my hair saw me there on Tuesday and promptly called Tues afternoon to sort out my mop revealing -after a hefty cut - well, two white streaks and several odd hairs has turned in to going white all over.  fortunately I had a dye that I bought back in Feb in the cupboard and slapped that on. 44 is no age to be turning white, no way am I going to give in to that gracefully.

Anyway there is still the uniforms to sort and iron for tomorrow and the lunchbags also a couple of ice cold beers in the fridge to keep me company whilst I do so.

Thank you all for you continnued thoughts and mentions, it really does help to know there are others who care.

Hello, Smoky - good to hear from you. You ARE allowed to feel sorry for yourself, you know. It's still very early days and you have been - and are still going - through such a lot. I have nothing but admiration for you the way you are coping. I'm so glad work is working out, especially now that the nursery is working well; it sounds like you work with lovely people. Please make sure you take time out to rest and catch your breath; you sound very busy - it's almost 11pm and you are still hard at it. We're all here for you. (((Hugs))) to you and your LOs.

((((((smokybabe)))))) It's lovely to hear from you.

Yes your life has changed completely, and it's normal to feel sorry for yourself. Goodness, you wouldn't be normal if you didn't. Your life was turned upside down with losing Eric. Every dream and plan you had for the future featured him, and now it has to be different. It's such a short while since he died, I'm amazed at how you cope.

That's good news about the nursery, one less problem to have to deal with. How you get up at that unearthly hour is beyond me, especially as you're not an early to bed type it seems:rotfl:

    Take care,

edited to add, stefejb it'll be a meatfest at your house then:rotfl: What have you done, been playing her hypnotic tapes while she was asleep:cool: Hope she feels better soon.

Hello Smoky, your hair sounds lovely. I must get something done to mine. I've got the skunk look happening and really need to do the roots. :D Don't be too hard on yourself, some days you'll just fall apart but for the most part I think you are doing fab. I'm sure if you just looked back a month, you'll see a big difference in how far you've come with coping better. Just take it easy, we are all thinking of you.

Bookie Andy has been booted out. :D I thought you were'nt going to pray. ;) I really must start my chores. Nite, nite. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
