Hi everyone - back on here having had DGS round after school and then his Mum and DGD came to collect him after DGD's swimming lesson and I had a lovely cuddle with her, too. DGS beat me at Mancala and Crib and was about to thrash me at draughts when they turned up.
We have had hardly any rain here but just a short way away it bucketed down, apparently. It's a lovely evening here.
My PC went on a go-slow half an hour ago so I had to close the whole thing down and restart it - hope it behaves itself now.
Celyn - I do hope you don't get an upset stomach!
Kyle - hope you feel better soon. There are so many bugs going round this year. (((Hugs))) to you.
Wantobeasaver - (((Hugs))) to you re the house sale. Our last two sales have been like that; it has nearly driven me mad each time because your whole life ends up in a state of suspended animation, doesn't it? I do hope it works out for you soon.
RedRuby - congratulations on winning the race!
Candy - thinking of you. I didn't realise there were new forum rules about pm'ing. I just sent someone a message and got the error page and was told to wait for 565 seconds before sending it.
Dazi - (((Hugs))) to your DGS.
AnnieS - (((Hugs))) to you. What a worrying time you are having at the moment.
Well, I think I'll go and have a bath and settle down to some knitting.
See you all later. I'll pop in again before I go to bed!

DD rang today to tell me that baby has been admitted to hospital. She had a couple of blisters round the top of her legs, we all thought it was where the nappy had rubbed her but aparently its some sort of skin infection. DD says she is still feeding well though and is on an antibiotic drip. I have offered to go down but she says it isn't really worth it as I won't be allowed in for long and also I don't drive so won't be able to get about. Feel a bit useless.
.
Oh Dazi, I hope the baby will be ok, please send lots of hugs from me, your daughter must live quite close to me, is she in Arundel ? xx0 -
:T Well done redruby egg and spoon race ehhh? just trying to imagine a monkey with and egg and a spoon;)
Candygirl your so called "friend" was no friend at all, to do something as underhand as that, no wonder you are
Kathy I had the same problem about an hour ago I was just sending the above and the darned thing decided to throw a wobbly, I must admit I got a bit impatient and just shut the lid down, seems ok now though fingers crossed.

Good evening all :hello:
Shez :hello: I hope that you let your DD out of the cupboard whilst the health visitor was actually in the house. :rotfl:
Bargain Rzl can I join you on the Eurostar to Paris? It'll help me avoid the dreadful nightmare that is.....................
OFSTED!
They have FINALLY rung and will be popping into school next Tuesday and Wednesday. This means that I've been at school until 6 tonight and DH decided that we "needed" an OS meal of fish & chips from the chippy.I've sorted out my timetable and worked out what I'm teaching when...... it's just a case of putting it all into a long winded lesson plan for each session......
On the topic of schools, candygirl I can only sympathise with you. I went for a job interview in a school last year and found out that the job had gone to (and was always going to go to!) a lady whose daughter was in the class that the position was for!!!! Then again, I got all 3 of my teaching jobs through knowing the school and having done short term supply there. It's not uncommon and schools don't have to interview if they already have someone in mind. It's a different kettle of fish if it's for a deputy or head.
Right, enough time "off task". I'd better go for now.
:grouphug: to all those that need one.

Redruby - DD lives in Bognor, they both worked at Butlins DD was a redcoat until at 5 months pregnant a risk assessment meant she had to work in the office, she did NOT like this, prefers to be entertaining rather than sorting entertainment.:rotfl:
I love Arundel, although have not been there for years, remember going to the castle and then to a pub for food, think it was called the black rabbit?
Have had phone call from my mum DD has just called her, and asked her to pass message on to me too, baby is doing ok. The infection was due to DD's waters breaking early aparently.
am feeling a bit more human now, sorry to everyone for my frantic posts over the last two days but as I said last night, I don't have any friends here and I look on this place as popping round for a coffee with mates.
So big thanks and xxxxx to you allwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Thinking of you and your DGS Dazi; please don't apologise for your posts. We love to hear from you and share your concerns. You're bound to be worried and, if we can help by being there, we're more than happy. Glad the baby is doing OK.

Pippa - are you with AOL? I am and I think it was AOL's problem. The same thing happened the other evening.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Anniestar big ((HUGS)) to you.
VickyA - my commiserations! They visit us tomorrow and Friday, so my DHT and I left tonight at 7.40pm. Need to be back by 7am too! In fact if she hadn't dragged me out I'd probably be there yet!
Oh how I hate this feeling! At least by w/e I'll know the worst. I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine, Vicky, - inspections these days focus far more on the HT and his/her evaluation than anything else. (Which is why I'm panicking!!!) SATs papers back and although the resultswon't be posted online until next week I've been able to work out the levels....looking good!
Spare me some thoughts over the next two days if you can folks. Certainly no time for anything OS - although meals will be very simple ( I probably won't eat anything!
Hope the rest of you are ok - have only read this page to date.Resolution:

beemuzed - oh, tell me about it! Sadly my school is in Special Measures so this is yet another "monitoring visit". We have a very absent head, who will be all smiles in school next week.

Ah... I see! Well I'm still sure you'll be fine!
Have to say all my staff simply couldn't work harder if they tried, so I'm desperate that it'll be ok after all the efforts they always put in. Just hope I don't let them down!Resolution:
