    Morning all
Hugs to Smoky, PenPin, Anniestar, Jayward, Beth and her DBs, Mrs Mix, Candygirl's Dad and Churchmouse.

We had a peaceful evening here at least, BIL now come in & hands his car keys to me as soon as he arrives. Social services are visiting them today and checking on other family members.

It rained here at 9ish last night, so I went next door to let the cats in, they were very pleased to se me, they thought I was going to feed them again.

I'm off to work soon, we had an engineer in yesterday to service one of my machines, slight problem as the guy had a bell phobia & had a panic attack every time a bell rang, fancy sending someone like that to work in a school! It made it a very long & difficult morning, I had to keep an eye on the time & get him off site every 40 minutes!
    Have a good day
    Hugs Hester
:rotfl: :rotfl: Oh Hester, the image of the engineer made me laugh out loud, thanks for that, Im still giggling :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Good morning everyone

anniestar hope today goes as well as it can under the circumstances. ((hugs))
(((hugs))) to everyone who needs one for whatever reason.

W**K today and I need to get in early as boss is at a meeting all day in Manchester. It will be a busy day though as I have loads to do so no time for skiving.

I need to phone British Airways today. We are flying from Glasgow to Islay in July and on checking the site last night it seemed to suggest that photo ID was needed even for a domestic flight. Trouble is, my mother who is in her late 70s doesn't have a passport or driving licence. I e-mailed BA who were less than helpful as all they did was reiterate the information given on the website. So, I need to phone and check what documents they will accept for her. I am not going to tell my mum any of this until its sorted as I know she will panic.

Well, need to get ready to head off to w**k. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone. xx

Need to pop over and see how a poorly friend is, got a nasty bug and 3 kids to look after so have volunteered to give her a hand and sort out tea and stuff, and have promised to dig out some bits of crockery and cutlery for friend back from Oz, as although she has her house it is empty as all their stuff was shipped out with them when they went! Whole village has mobilised to find spare furniture, bedding, appliances, towels, etc. Amazing what everyone has done, and makes me realise again just how lucky we are to live here.

Have a lovely day all. xx

I'm sure your friend will really appreciate your help:T and its brilliant about everyone rallying round your other friend too! what a nice place to live!:T

Hi there - first coffee break today! Ive made a salad for DGS and me to have for dinner tonight, with ham and chips - his favourite (and, like Pippa, I don't spoil my grandchildren - yeah, right, as if.... that's what they're for, isn't it?). The Grandparents' Club is the best of all. Pippa - are you a 'Nanny' or a 'Grandma'? I'm a 'Nanny' although lately that's been shortened to 'Nan'!

Celyn - thanks for the warning about the Love Hearts - when they arrive via eBay, I'll have 1400 to look through! I don't mind because I can eat the rejects!

I think I'll have to have a Fantasty Island party soon but Kyle's Hot Indian won't be enough on his own! I'll have a word with Colin Firth (down, girls - he's mine) and would welcome any other suggestions!

Jayward - I do sleep but just like getting up early! I have the bed to myself for a couple of weeks and always sleep better on my own!

The weather here is very dull now but still warm. I have put the ironing board up and will get on with that in a minute; I have just taken my second Artisan loaf out of the oven having followed the instructions properly this and included the hot water.

Anyway, will call back later - I've drunk my coffee and have no excuse not to get on with the chores!

Looks like a nice day so washing machine is on.

Have a surprise present for DD (19) that just arrived as a "well done" for passing all her first year exams.

It is a box set of her favourite t.v. series so I hope she will be pleased.

A form to clain for winter heat allowance has just arrived for DH - he will not be pleased as he still "feels 40!" I have filled in the form for him so all he has to do is sign it. Why turn down money as every little helps.

Might phone ING later and see if we can get our savings rate upgraded as new savers get a much better rate.

Hugs to everybody especially P P , anniestar, smokey, jayward, candygirl, mrs mix and Betheebee.

Going to get some fresh veg so see you all later.

    Morning Guys!

Thanks for all the lovely messages:o .....feeling a little queezy (sp) today but am OK. The nurse left a while ago and she's going to pop back again later to check on me.

I ordered shopping to be delivered last night and there were a few problems, but have emailed Asda CS this morning and hopefully will get a refund on 3 items. We ordered a couple of ready meals:eek:   ...just Pizza and an Extra Special Chineese and ES Indian variety meal. Pizza was £3.00 and is huge like what you get from Pizzahut and the meals were 2 for £4 which would have cost about £15 from the take away I suppose.

WM needs to go on later, toilet has been cleaned and house OK.

    Anyway, hugs to all.

    PP
    xx
