Morning all, emmm I think it's Wednesday N9eav.
It is nowHad a frustrating day at w*** yesterday - never mind though today is "Friday" :T :j I cycled to w*** yesterday, then DH persuaded me out in the evening, so I cycled 25 miles
 DH was amazed when I ate chocolate when I got home
BM is on, yogurt maker is on, lamb stovie bake made for tea, fork biscuit dough made and in the fridge to cook later, washing done, and hung inside, as it's forecast rain
Donny - The West Lothian Question is the iniquity of Welsh, Scottish and NI MPs being able to vote on issues that affect the English alone. English MPs are not afforded similar right to vote on issues that affect the other countries alone. One of the worst examples was university tuition fees. English MPs rebelled and voted against their introduction. The bill was only passed with the help of Scottish MPs, whose constituents wouldn't pay them anyway, as the Scottish Parliament had voted against, and there are no tuition fees in Scotland  Politics affects your life every day
Redruby - penguin - fine choice:T :j We need pictures
Anniestar (((((hugs))))) thinking of you today.
Have a great day, Penny. x:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Good morning, it's bright and sunny here, despite the forecasts of doom and gloom. Oh well, I've no doubt the rain will return at some stage, although business wise, I hope it holds off until after 1.30, early close today
I've waved Mr Twit off to work and I'm having a quick surf, whilst I try and dig Miss Twit out of her pit.
Kathy, have you had a trial run with the wedding favours and are they easy to do? I'm chief bridesmaid at my friend's wedding later on in the year and I was wondering about offering to do the favours, as I don't think she is bothering, so that could be my gift
N9eav, well done on the wall, enjoy the graduation and I hope MrsN9eav finds a job soon.
Janny, hope today goes ok and that you start to feel better soon.
Anniestar, hope today passes smoothly. (((hugs))).
Catowen, hope the vouchers arrive soon, have you strimmed that grass yet, I've still not mown mine.
Hester, are you sure you're not being filmed for a Dom Joly series
Dazi, hope your new arrival settles down.
Dogose.....great news, I was really please when I read about the charges being dropped.
Hugs to Pen-pin, Smoky, Candy's Dad and all others that need a squeeze.

Whatatwit - I wanted to do fancy favours; when I was first asked I imagined crocheting little wedding rings in fine gold thread and all sorts of other things but DH pointed out, rightly, that I was being too ambitious, with everything else that seems to go on in this house! The wedding theme is hot pink and white so I have various shades of pink organdie and some white and gold nets which I will cut into the right size to make a parcel to hold about ten Love Hearts and some marshmallow hearts that I've seen somewhere; each parcel with have a layer of organdie and a layer of net. I'll tie them with two different very narrow ribbons - one in hot pink, the other gold. I've had a couple of dry runs but did them in a hurry while the dinner was cooking - not the best way to do something important like that! I'm setting aside time today and tomorrow to make a proper start on them. I have all the ribbons, all the fabric - I'm just waiting for my 200 rolls of Love Hearts from eBay! I think I've kept them really simple but I'm sure they'll look good on the tables. For DS2 and his bride, I found some hot pink fabric covered wire champagne 'glasses' which I will spend a bit more time on. I'm sure your friend would be delighted with favours as your gift. I know you can buy little organdie bags on eBay if you don't want the bother of cutting out. I had no choice because my Mum donated most of the fabric for mine and I can't not use it!
Beth - good luck with the hospital today.
Hester - RedRuby took the words right out of my keyboard. You certainly attract the strangest people! I bet life with you is anything but boring!
Dogrose - so glad the charges have been dropped. What a relief for you.
PenPen - 25 miles - I'm very impressed; you deserved that choccie!
Jannyannie -you should only go back to work when you are really ready for it. You have to put yourself first.
Well, I'd better go and have some breakfast and make a start on my very long 'to-do' list.
Tattycath - good luck with the test results.
See you all later.

I don't know where the food will come from on Fantasy Island but I have no intention of ever cooking there! I just lay in supplies of choccie, tea, coffee, beer and wine! Also, there's no electricity there, either - I will, however, make sure there is a wind-up radio, solar panel lighting and maybe Kyle's Hot Indian could do a barbecue with just his pinny on!

Hi Dazi
My grand-daughters are 2 and 4, the lights of my life, they live in West Sussex now, but were both born in Croyden where their mom comes from, she works in London so does DS1. We dont see nearly enough of them, but I don`t spoil them when we see them:rolleyes:NNNOOOO well not much.
Don`t you think it`s great, the Grand-parents club :T That`s right is`nt it Kathy ????
Crikey Dazi you certainly go through it with the ex, what a pain, hope it all settles down for you.

Hi all, hopefully a quiet morning here
(well, at least I don't have to listen to the radio)
Hester - a bell phobia? Poor guy must have been so on edge.
Hugs to anniestar - thinking of you today
Beth - good luck today
moiliere - do watch the love hearts as some of them say odd things now; I set some in casting resin a while back and had to sort through to get rid of the ones that said things like "yeah right", "no chance" and "you wish" - plus the text speak ones. :rotfl: I've done favors for gifts before and the couple have always been very pleased as it is one less thing they have to think about and cost into the day. My dad gets me to do them for his Masonic functions now too - I managed to get some lovely shaped box dies from the US that fit in the sizzix machine.
tattycath - fingers crossed for your DD today
N9eav - well done for your OH, enjoy the ceremony
redruby - a penguin? Why on earth? :rotfl:
It's hot and sticky here and as Wednesday is my weeekly meeting/more chance of being shouted at than normal by Dr Jeckyll day. Ah well. Got soem marking done last night. Only another 130 to do - still, I'm not complaining, the money is really good and things are tight at the moment, so it's a good thing. Slept for hours last night again, but I'm just tired. Data set to finish, then coffee - quarterly report handed in though, which is another thing off my mind.
have a good day, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
