Crossing my fingers that things get better with the sale. We had a similar problem just before Christmas with my Dad's flat and it was nerve racking.

DD loved the surprise and had not guessed what it was - we watched four episodes together this afternon and really enjoyed ourselves.
Candygirl
What a ***** of a friend! Hugs to you and your Dad and I hope that things work out jobwise.
I somehow doubt this person is prepared to buckle down and be told what to do so bet she is not there long if she does get taken on.
Just going to get DH to give me a lift to get a new bulb for DD(14)s bed side lamp. Will get some posh crisps as well as our 19 year old has a friend coming over tomorrow."This site is addictive!"

Evening all,
Guess what ...... I won the egg and spoon race:T although I was not a penguin I was a monkey, we could only find one penguin, so had to raid the dressing up box, sorry but did not think to take a photo, I will next time, we often do things like this. These races were filmed, to be played back at our big party next week, so that people can 'bet' on them with fake money.
Just had tea, lemon chicken, which I have not done before, but it was delish.
Kathy can I come to the island as well I don't mind doing a bit of cooking, now and then, but would prefer it if the hot indian cooked
Aussie go on show us the dress, good to see haribo enjoying her holiday
Candy, she is not a good friend, hugs to you and your dad, if I lived nearer I would be round yours tonight with a bottle of wine
Hugs to all those in need xx0 -
Evening everyone
(((hugs))) for those who need or want one.
Not been a good day today, thought last night was bad!
DD rang today to tell me that baby has been admitted to hospital. She had a couple of blisters round the top of her legs, we all thought it was where the nappy had rubbed her but aparently its some sort of skin infection. DD says she is still feeding well though and is on an antibiotic drip. I have offered to go down but she says it isn't really worth it as I won't be allowed in for long and also I don't drive so won't be able to get about. Feel a bit useless.
OH is not back tonight so I haven't cooked anything- have still got some salmon left from yesterday so if I feel like eating I'll have that.
Haven't really done anything else today, not even tidied up.whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Bookie If all else fails, maybe you could just give them one of your photo's.I'm sure they won't pick it up.
Aussie :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: at the dress. Loved Snowy's take on it too.Go on, show us a photo!!!
As for me - how did you know that my hair needs dyeing?
Well, I spoke to BA and they told me that my Mum won't need to produce ID as the ticket is an e-ticket (what difference that makes, I don't know.) I'm going to ask her to bring some form of ID with her though just to be on the safe side.
Lots happening to lots of people on here today. Can't remember everything but I do know that Candygirl's "friend" is no such thing (what goes around, comes around Candygirl and she will get her turn).
Redruby well done (I think) on winning the egg and spoon race.
wanttobeasaver hope you get your property sale problems sorted.
Hester can't believe your DH was asked for a driving licence while he's carrying a white stick! :rotfl: I know I shouldn't but it's just so ludicrous.
pen-pin glad you are back home now.
(((hugs))) to Dazi and family.
I know there's much more happening but I just can't remember. Sorry.
Off to watch Murray get beaten by Nadal.Have a good evening all.

Evening all. Well am back. Am going to bed shortly as I am totally shattered. Been up since 4:40am and am drooping. I'm sorry(again)haven't read any of todays posts so ((((((((HUGS))))))))))) to one nad all.
Funeral was very beautiful.(cried all the way through it though) burial was lovely(cried all through that as well). Food was good there was plenty. Didn't know it was possible to cry so much. I am by no means a stranger to funerals but this one really has broken my heart. Think its the horrific and oh so random way of the accident. I suppose because we have to have the inquest there isn't the feeling of"closure" (bad choice of words I know but hopefully, you understand what I mean) that you often expierence after the burial. Anyway, I am off to bed. Thank you all so much, and please please make every second count. Goodnight, Ann xxxxxxBlind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.
And when no hope was left inside on that starry starry night.
