Candygirl That sounds awful. Maybe she's just saying that. I wouldn't believe it until I've been told via the proper channels. <hugs> and hope the day gets brighter.

Moiliere I'll post the dress later but in the mean time I have a picture from Haribo. She looks like she's having fun. :D

CM I'm going to try the new artisan bread from the other thread. My BM is making strange noises so it's a good time I think.

Hope your head ache gets a bit better.
Snowy You might have time to tidy your desk today. ;):D Good luck with the job hunting.

DH sound asleep, I'm not tired so off to have a surf. Might go and find a snack first though. I bought some peanut butter pretzels at Aldi yesterday. They are yum. Not fattening either. :D Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

candygirl, I don't want to be too cynical, but are you sure your "friend" is telling you the whole truth? If she got offered the job at the weekend, why wait until today to let you know? And surely, that is a totally unethical way to appoint a teacher? Just I smell a rat or two??? Anyway, sorry to hear it, and (((hugs))) re your Dad. Such a sad time for you.

I know what you mean hun, but most teachers these days get in through the back door, and as it was only a supply contract it's different.I've rung the agency who will have rung the school, and haven't heard back from them so presume it is a done deal.Apparently she was ill over the weekend so couldn't ring me, personally I think she was too scared to:rolleyes:  Oh well it's nice to find out who my real friends are, as I need them right now :D:D

    Afternoon everybody :hello:

((((Hugs)))) to all in need of them :) I haven't been keeping up with the thread for a few days so sorry if I have lost track of anybody's news.

I overslept this morning and was late for work - compounded by the fact that when I had briefly woken up at the time I was meant to, I'd picked up my glasses and put them down somewhere... so was hunting around for a good 15 minutes, half-blind, before finding them wrapped up in my quilt along with my mobile phone which I needed so I could phone my boss and apologise for being late :o

Somehow I've managed to get this far into the week without spending anything :j :j though that will change this evening as I have to do a grocery shop. I am kicking myself for only having bought one copy of NOTW on Sunday for the Tesco voucher, as there are various things I could do with buying that don't come out of the grocery budget (tights, for example, and a bottle of champagne for me and "the girls" to drink on the Eurostar when we go to Paris next week for my birthday :D) plus there's the 25% off wine when you buy 6, and I've got some extra points vouchers which need using by the end of the week. So all in all I would say I could easily get up to a £60 spend and could therefore put it through in 2 goes and use 2 vouchers not 1  I don't suppose anybody knows if NOTW is doing the voucher again this week? Cos then I can do one lot of shopping today and leave the rest till early next week...

MUST do my Tesco shop in the EARLY evening because I have no room in the freezer and I don't want to be tempted by late bargains as they will most likely just go to waste :o Having said that, my local Tesco doesn't tend to be that great when it comes to reductions - Asda down the road is much better.

Anyway, must stop rambling. Lunch today is pasta with sausage and tomato sauce (well, I say sauce - it's the same stuff as I would call sausage casserole if I had it with rice :D)

See you later, love Rzl xx

    HI everyone again

Candygirl, that is not much of a friend you have there. She might live in a fancy house and have lots of money, but all that doesn't make her a better person than anyone who does not have such material advantages. You'll get your lucky break in due course.

Aussielass sent me the following picture of her new frock. I can see why she described it as a "flop". Maybe a vest underneath might give it a bit of shape Aussie??

Thanks for giving me the reminder to tidy my desk Aussie - I have put some things away, but there are other things which are still waiting to be dealt with and which have been waiting since before your first visit last year:o:rotfl::o:rotfl:

This isn't really helping me with my forms....byez again.

I've got a Health Visitor doing a home visit this afternoon?? suppose it's because I havent taken my DD there for anything apart from jabs:confused: either that or they are so bored they have to fill up their day with home visits!!:rotfl: or someone has reported me for neglect maybe! ;) :rotfl: (get back in the cupboard DD with yr gruel!)

Snowy :naughty::naughty::naughty: Churchie :naughty::naughty::naughty: You could have at least warned those of us eating lunch :o

Candygirl - as someone else on the rough end of a crazy job-appointment decision recently, you have my sympathy and I share your    The fact that it's supply - does that make it outside the regular employment legislation

Squiggly - I have a soft saddle, but do fancy a gel one   If I'm going to carry this on into the colder months, I'll need some more ger, so a new seat might be on my birthday list ;)

Hi, shez - you snuck in there :hello:

I'm fed up again, so couting the minutes until 3pm and my cycle home - hope I can dodge the rain.
