Unfortunately this spot market pricing option is no longer offered which means I am at the position to start afresh looking for my gas.
Their new offer still looks rather tempting with a fixed price of 29.95ppl until March 2016. My only initial concern is where pricing will be after March next year. Although they won’t make me any promises I have been assured that it will be as competitive as they can achieve and that it I will benefit from lower pricing if the market comes down and fixed pricing if it does not alter. The basis is that you will only see an increase in price if the market moves and not the set increase you seem to get when the 2nd year of yourc ontract has an upper level of say 3.5ppl increase.
Has anybody had a contract where by it has never risen the full amount in the second year?
I have not been able to find anything cheaper at the moment and I have been more than happy with delivery and the customer service which is excellent, just wanted a last check to make sure there is not another mega deal out there that I have not seen.
What happens if you don't sign a new contract? Will Woldlink not continue to supply you at their appropriate monthly price?0 -

Countrywide: Initial offer of 38ppl (!!) but the "pricing team" are now looking at it.
I'm still waiting for a couple of other quotes.
Well I have now spoken to a nice lady in the pricing department at Countrywide and that 38p has now dropped to 30p fixed for 1 year plus a £150 credit. Always worth haggling!0 -
I rang Extra Fuel to get a quote but they wouldn't consider us as a customer as we're renting. I explained that the landlord isn't interested in having the account but they said they had to have the account with the landlord! Woldlink were far more helpful.0

Hi
We have just moved to a house off grid in Warwickshire with an underground LPG tank installed by and previously supplied by Calor Gas. They have offered us a contract at 42ppl with a 25.13p daily standing charge which did not impress me so I have got some prices (all prices exclude VAT) as below which I am sharing for information:
Flogas 29.95ppl fixed for 12 months then 3.5p increase cap for 2nd year, £250 gas credit and £80 tank charge pa
Callow Gas 32ppl fixed for 12 months plus £50.40 tank rental pa
Lister Gas 32ppl fixed for 12 months plus £75 tank rental pa
Countrywide Farmers PLC 33ppl plus 17p per day standing charge
Avanti Gas 30ppl fixed for 12 months with tank rental at £110 pa and £150 LPG credit
Woldlink current 6 month fix until end March 2016 at 29.95ppl plus tank rental at £100 pa
ExtraFuel 29.90ppl fixed for 12 months and then 4p increase cap for second year plus £150 LPG credit and tank rental at £120
On the face of it I cannot really see any reason why we would not go with Flogas but a scan through this forum suggests that others have experienced difficulties with them?
Anyone got any advice?

I keep seeing these quotes with xx ppl first year and yy cap in second year. I would be interested to see the contract for someone that has signed one of these contracts as I expect that yy is not a cap but merely the maximum increase that can be imposed without giving you a right to leave the contract. If this is the case, then you are not really capped at all.
I may be wrong but given the industry, I suspect not.0 -
My contract with flogas is about to end and they have offered me the following....
38.9p per litre. 16.44p per day and £125 credit to my account0 -
Woldlink price for December is 23.71ppl0

Just entered 2nd year of Flogas contract. Despite prices dropping over the last year have received a letter stating price will increase by, surprise surprise, the amount of the so called "cap"
Made one call and they agreed to leave price at first year level fixed for the 2nd year. They rolled over without a fight because that still means I am paying 37.5 ppl, which is 7.5 ppl higher than I could get on a new deal. Better than an increase though.
Spoke to Woldlink out of interest, for next year. They use the Flogas network and have an agreement with them such that they cannot accept existing Flogas customers. Surely this is against some sort of consumer rights?
If Flogas don't give me the same price as I could get from Woldlink on my renewal there will be trouble!0 -

When I was renewing a month or two back, Wold wouldn't give me a quote at all - they didn't say why, just "Sorry, we're not interested." <shrug>0 -
to Mean Machine, don't accept 38.9 ppl. Should be looking at around 30 ppl mark.
Interestingly even the guy at Woldlink said that one should ask for low 30s if negotiating with Flogas!0
