Lidl Copenhagen chest of drawers
Lidl! Is it only me who has bought the slim, upright Lidl chest with the four different coloured drawers last week and found them impossible to assemble? The screws which attach the base to the sides are too short to meet the little barrel things they are meant to screw into. I've checked I'm using the correct ones and…

Pre Black Friday price increase?!
On 4 Oct Dreams had the TEMPUR CoolTouch™ Sensation Supreme Mattress for £1599. I thought I would wait ‘til Black Friday to see if it was reduced. So, keeping an eye on things, today they have it at £1699… is that ready for a £100 reduction on Black Friday!? I suppose they will say it’s cost has gone up due to everything…

Global Shortage Surcharge
I recently bought some decorative cladding from a local retailer, and on the invoice there was an item called 8% Global Shortage Surcharge. This amount was added to the net total and then VAT was added. So the 8% surcharge is further increased by 20%. Is this another excuse for a price hike?

A friend of mine was given £100 in M&S Gift Cards pre-pandemic. As a result of not being able to go shopping (shops closed, shielding, isolating etc), they hadn't got around to spending them until recently, to find that the vouchers had expired. When they raised this with M&S, the customer services' answer was "well, you…
