The article doesn't know what its talking about, I think the word redeem is used incorrectly and it should be earn.
You redeem rewards by spending them.

Currently the stamps expire after 12 months, then once you have 3/6/10 stamps you get a reward and that reward expires after three months. There is no need to redeem stamps, they automatically convert into rewards.

Why am I not surprised by this.

It is not secret that KFC is not a healthy option when it comes to take away food, so I want to thank KFC for making it easier for me to kick them to the curb.

We used to buy one of those Bargain Bucket things and for our younger kids we bought a Mini Fillet burger each.

The KFC Mini Fillet burger was £1 it had a pretty small piece of KFC chicken and I think was brought out to compete with the McDonalds £1 menu.

I always bought a few extra KFC Mini Fillet burgers but then KFC increased the price by a whopping 50%, my response was to punish them by buying the smaller bucket and only buying 2 KFC Mini Fillet burgers.  Call me sad or vengeful but whenever a business increases it prices in what I consider an obscene way, I punish them by withdrawing at least double the value of the increase.

Then earlier this year they increased the price of the KFC Mini Fillet burger to £1.99, that was the straw that broke the camels back.  We no longer go to KFC, the first time I went in there to buy a Mini Fillet burger and they told me the price was £1.99 I walked out.

We probably have some credit on the twi KFC Colonel reward schemes (we had one each so that if our order was under £15 we would put half on each.

Anyway, as much as I was sad to see the back of KFC there is a lesson here, when you increase prices by 100% while we had 2% inflation you lose customers.

I now get 800g leg and thigh southern fried chicken pack from Aldi for under £3 (including price increase - it used to be £2-25 to £2-50)

Except the mini fillet burger didn’t go up by 100%. It was 99p over 15 years ago, was still £1.49 about a year ago. Going from
99p in 2005ish to £1.49 in 2020 is pretty much following the 2.3% average inflation.
Then 2022 has seen some bigger increases everywhere.

but there is a world of difference between having someone cook for you and buying raw food.

also you mentioned McDonalds but have you actually tried the 99p “chicken” mayo? They’ve basically removed all the chicken, it’s so skinny little chicken burger now.
