Trading 212 - question on rebalancing pies
Sorry if this is a silly question (I'm both new to investing and Trading212). I've put together a few things in a custom pie, but wanted to tweak the weighting % of each holding in the pie. If I want to tweak the weighting of my holdings, do slider changes apply automatically? Or do I need to do the extra step of…

I wish to even out our Capital Gains liabilities between my wife and myself. I believe that transferring funds between spouses can be done without incurring CGT. How do I go about this (we both have iWeb GIA accounts and wish to transfer between these). I assume that we can't just sell from one account and rebuy in the…

reducing hours - will starter saving rate come into play
Hi all. I'm looking to reduce my hours at work next year, somewhere around mid tax year. As I'm a fairly low earner, this reduction will mean over the whole year I will be earning less that £18570. The first part of the year I earn more, pay tax and have personal allowance of £1000 but 2nd part will be on the cusp of not…

Warning British Growth Bonds
So interest is taxable payable in year of maturity. So with the 5 year Bond compounded interest is 21%. It will take me into higher rate tax! Have I misunderstood this?

Oxbury 5 year bond (is it annual or maturity interest)
I'm deciding on a 5 year bond to invest in and was reading this page:moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest/ Under the '5 year fixed rates' saving section it shows Oxbury bank 5 year bond as paying interest at maturity (bad for tax i guess). Yet on Oxbury's website:…

Chase Savings Rate To Change AGAIN! (3.75% from Oct)
Just got this email from Chase... I've been loving my Chase account and was happy to stick with them despite them lowering their rate before most other banks. I have their boosted rate until Jan, but I have mutliple savings accs with them that will now fall to 3.75%. My worry is that the change in % difference between the…

Raisin 1 yr bond rate dropped after I submitted application
Hi folks, I submitted an application for a one year bond on Raisin with IS bank with an advertised interest rate of 4.85%. There was a small banner saying "rate dropping tomorrow" but I assumed I would lock in the higher available rate on the basis that I completed and submitted the application before the rate dropped as…

Interest rate comparison tables
I can only find banks offering the top or best interest rates on savings accounts and ISA's - not complete tables. Are these still available? If so, please tell me how I navigate to find them. (I used to compare savings rates tables in MSE with those in 'thisismoney'. Sometimes one was more up to date than the other.)
