Coventry BS/Co-op savings accounts... any sign of merging..?

OH and I have a joint savings account which used to be with the Britannia and is now a Co-op product (with whom we have a joint current a/c). We would now like to move our funds to a Coventry BS product.

Following the recent takeover announcement, do we simply go ahead with this move or are we wasting our time and effort, i.e. are Coventry products about to be offered by the Co-op within the reasonably short-term future anyway?

I would think not. If the Coventry savings account is better for you, then you should make use of it now. There's no telling what will be available in the future.
