What exactly can I claim for on days Southern strike?
So I have an annual season ticket from Leighton Buzzard to London, zones 2-6. I work in Hammersmth and catch one direct train that lasts 57 minutes from LBZ to Shepherds bush then walk or bus it down to Hammersmith. As ASLEF are stopping all drivers from overtime and Southern not got enough drivers now, they have pulled my…

Getting a train to Newcastle?
Hi all, I'm having to go to Newcastle for a wedding in a few weeks and am looking at my various options. I thought I could go up on Friday 21st July and stay over for a few days, with the wedding on Sunday 23rd July. I live about 40 mins outside London or 1hr 30mins away from Birmingham. (By train) I thought I'd check out…

Is Chesterfield to Wilmslow via Piccadilly a permitted route?
I'll be getting an off-peak open return from CHD to WML (£22.70) where the most direct route is a single change at Stockport. (bizarrely, the same ticket from Chesterfield to Stockport is £26!) I'd like to stay on the train past Stockport and spend some time in Manchester before going to Wilmslow, but the same ticket from…

Going through shared zone 1/2 with a 2-5 Travelcard
Hello all, I'm trying to figure out a new route into work, but I don't understand how the stations with shared zones work. In this case the station I pass through is Notting Hill Gate and it shares zones 1 and 2 as it's on the border. My journey (to and fro) is: Tap in at St Helier Station (zone 4) Thameslink to Wimbledon…

I will avoid them if possible but I will be needing to travel on the underground between Euston and Waterloo in July, and I`m asking if anyone of you lovely people can tell me if there are stairs or lifts at these stations? I have about…

Abus U lock issue
I've mounted an Abus Granit X-Plus https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00H3T773O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on the frame of a Cube SL Road Pro. It's a sturdy lock and mount but it rattles where the shackle slots in to the crossbar of the lock. There doesn't seem to be a fix for this. Is this normal? Has…

Cycling and the Economy
The UK government has done little to promote cycling. Governments in Holland and Denmark have managed to increase cycle usage enormously. I think the UK government failure is mainly down to financial reasons. They like people to be employed making cars. They want the UK to be a big car producing country like Germany. They…
