Redspottedhanky incorrect emails - 'Your loyalty points will expire soon'
"USE THEM BEFORE THE 31ST DECEMBER We've noticed that you have quite a few loyalty points stored up on your account and thought we'd let you know that if you don't use them by 31/12/2017 then they will expire." Received the above today - even though the points still show as valid until 31 December 2020 (and always have…

Best value for travel to and out of London but different stations.
Hi I’m traveling to Westfield from Blackwater in Hampshire this goes via London Paddington. But I’m not returning to Blackwater but to Surbiton. Is it best to get a travel card for just over £27.00 or get a single for £22.00 and use contactless for the at least 3 tube rides in London and then the train to Surbiton. This is…

Hit & Run - No Proscecution
Back in August I cycled across the road when I shouldn't of with a group of jay-walking pedestrians and cyclists at a pelican crossing. I was under the impression it was okay and like a sheep crossed. I was unlucky and was struck by a car who went between two stationary vehicles just as the light had gone green. I suffered…

Lost rail card, before I've even used it?
Bit angry, I know it's Christmas but my disabled traincard has been lost in the post. Bin told it may get lost again even through I paid £20 for it, I could be charged again. They say once it's posted it's nothing to do with them but Royal mail. Surly this is wrong, so what can I do?

Cycle Scheme Advice
Hi, I'm after a bit of advice, I took out a cycle scheme last year and as far as I thought everything went fine. I've just resigned my position to take up a better offer elsewhere. HR have just contacted me to say that they've made a mistake and haven't been taking the payments out as expected. I was expecting them to take…

Electric Bike- worthwhile
I'm moving down south shortly, to a city famous for students, flat surroundings and bicycles. I'm likely to be about 6-8 miles from the office, and we will be allowed charging facilities. I'm looking Electric for comfort and lack of that sweaty-cyclist feel when I arrive. The best electric bikes in terms of weight and…

Virgin East Coast Sale
Hi there, Please can anyone advise of likely Virgin Trains East Coast sales coming up? I'm a contractor and need to book up travel for Jan through end of March whilst it is cheaper. Is it better to do it now or wait for a potential boxing day sale? What would that likely be based on anyone's past experience? Rob.

Using Tesco clubcard vouchers for National Express
Has anyone done the above? Reason I’m asking is that on the clubcard website it says that once you have received your Tesco emailed voucher you then redeem it on the National Express website and then vouchers will arrive in post in 7-10 days. Is the latter part correct as I was under the impression you could just use the…

statistics on late trains
I read in today’s Metro in the story about rail fare hikes that 1 in 9 trains are late. Anyone who travels by train will know this to be way off the mark and it seems obvious why. The electronic boards say “on time” even when the train is up to about 5 minutes late. How are they allowed to get away with blatantly fiddling…

Train cancellations
Hi I've heard different views on this, so wondered what you guys think. I usually get the train to work, and have a season ticket. Twice in the last few weeks my train has been cancelled so I have had to get the bus and underground to work (so have to pay £2.20 for a bus, and then £1.30 for the underground). Can I claim…
