It's my first time posting here (it's a Life Admin Saturday and I've also just posted to the retirement planning forum!) I've been a reader of this forum for a good few years, mainly following tips about savings and cash ISAS and the knowledge of the regular posters here has been much appreciated. I’ve finally come to the…

Isa’s and “friendly” society’s
Hello, I recently inherited some money and want to put the max £20000 into my isa on 6 April. I have been paying a small amount into isas with Scottish Friendly ever since my daughter was born several years ago. Can I continue to pay into those isas after the 6 April if I put the max into my isa?

L-ISA transfer - BeeHive>Moneybox. Duration?
Relative of mine applied at Xmas/New Years to transfer their L-ISA from BeeHive to Moneybox. As of yesterday their Moneybox account still showed £0 & they're asking me how long this process should take. I would've thought it would've been sorted by now. Couple months should be plenty of time but seemingly not. Over to you…

Short dated gilt accumulation units in an ETF/tracker
Dear All, Does anyone know of short dated gilt accumulation units in an ETF/tracker/ low cost fund? I'd like to hold some short dated gilt funds (say 0-5yrs) in a passive low cost fund in an ISA and hence want accumulation units and am surprised that I could not find any accumulation units in a passive short dated gilt…

St James' Place - Management Fees - Reclaims
I'm seeing lots of adverts and emails recently about reclaiming Management Fees from SJP - where they have taken an annual fee but provided no service. Is this a real thing, or just spam from opportunistic 'Claims Handlers'. We've had SJP ISAs for many years, but never hear from them. Any thoughts appreciated.

S&S ISA transfer incentives for the turn of the FY
I stumbled across the recent announcement by InvestEngine for a tier reward system depending on how much is transfered to them from another ISA provider. Its that time of the year so nothing too surprising but it got me wondering on a few possible questions. -Do you normally take advantage of these? Any anecdotal…

I'm not sure I've calculated the on going charge correct either? There is no monthly investment, but ongoing let's say you whack the 20k in, in one go each April. Have I covered all…

ISA allowance 23=24
Had 2 instant access ISAs at 5/4 /23, in Jul23, transferred £4000 from 1 to other, then £8k from another savings a/c, all with RBS. Forgot about the above and tried to open new fixed rate ISA on 8Feb. It was rejected as RBS said I only had £8k available, ie. £20k less the above £12k. I accept that the £8k would be part of…

Isa transfer issue - asked for prior year transfer they requested in year!
I have identified an issue with an ISA transfer - which I would like advice on given the potential HMRC implications. This highlights potential issues with the systems of the new provider - who I don't wish to name but does get a lot of coverage on this sub forum! At the end of November I requested an isa transfer from a…
