Best weedkiller product for perennial weeds?
My son has a problem with perennial weeds growing outside and inside his garden fence. The land outside is owned by his local council but despite asking for it to be controlled, it's never done. Perennial weeds are growing in from outside and being partly disabled he cannot cope with physically attacking the problem. Thus…

House plant advice please
I am looking for a house plant that can grow in a small pot that can go on a plaster shelf on my landing. We are decorating, and have a plaster sculpture on the wall that’s been there a long time but I need something to hide the fact that it’s a bit damaged at the bottom. So, I am looking for a plant that hangs down and…

thick ivy roots
This ivy went right to the top of my garage. I planted it years ago and liked it, but then it started to get unmanageable. I've cut it down as far as I can with a small garden saw, secateurs-- and pulling it away from the wall. How do I get rid of the rest of it? Or have I reached the stage where I need to call in a…

Really good thorn proof gloves
Hi all, Just had a big go at my messy back garden and have to tackle both bramble and nettles. 15 year old water Butt disposal.
We moved into the home in 2007, there is bushes at the bottom of the garden we never touched, they gave good privacy. It must be very old and…

Is this a tree?
Was away for 3 weeks to look after a relative and while another relative looked after the garden with watering, I came back to find this growing out of a lawn! Sadly, Google images search isn't helping so any idea what this could be? If it is a kind of tree, would it make sense for me to pot it? Thank you! :)
