Not sure if this is the best place to post this but I picked up a box of these because I saw they were so cheap. They're like fruit winders but are really healthy and pure fruit. Perfect for lunchboxes and they even come with collectible cards :) they're usually about 50p for one bag (2 rolls) but in Asda the strawberry…

Im looking at doing our 1st online shop with Sainsburys and just wanted to know when do they take payment? Do they take it when you order it or do they take it on the day and say if i have it coming at say 6pm when in that day will they take the payment?

I bought 4 boxes of what I thought was my usual 100ml Colgate (red box) fluoride toothpaste from a local B&M store, marginally cheaper than Tesco. The only noticeable difference with the tubes is that they have a screw top cap instead of the usual flip top. Noticed that it was manufactured in Thailand though. When I first…

I was looking at pumpkins on asda and noticed you can get carving or edible pumpkins and was wondering what is the difference? Can you use carving ones for cooking? Also does anyone know the cheapest place for pumpkins or are they about the same price everywhere? Thanks

The other half has just returned from Nisa to report that the two packs of Gu cheesecakes are currently half price! I love these and you get a handy glass ramekin too :D

Asda in Dundonald NI have loads of funsize Bags - Mars, maltesers, twix and milky ways - still at £1 per bag. Not sure if national as Asda in Newtownards had same bags for £2.88 and that's the price on line. May be due to over stock as they have loads. A great bargain for Christmas parties / lunch boxes etc. so stock up!

Have been trying to stick to a strict grocery budget over the last few weeks and from now on. Just thought I'd share what Tesco everyday value products I've discovered in case anyone will find it useful. The good: Tinned mushy peas 4p a tin - really good I think especially as fruit and veg is so expensive and I think…

Hi I do my shopping online at Tescos and quite often I see something that is on offer that I fancy but the price they charge is the original. Depsite saying it is on offer in the yellow band. Sometimes its more than the original price!! For example this week I have seen: Jack Daniels - Was £26, Now £15 - Basket Price £26…

I'm not sure if this is national or just local but I know lots of people in here use these so hopefully it will help someone. All the 500g and smaller packets of Great Scot branded lentils/beans/pulses and some other bits were reduced to clear in my local store today. Asda own brand cous cous was 68p now 34p Great Scot…

Hi all, Was wondering this evening whether it's possible to eat well, cheaply and healthily by avoiding supermarkets and sticking with local food producers / butchers, grocers etc..... I live in Dorset where this weekend the local annual food festival took place, which was packed with local food producers flogging their…

Morrison's currently have the new Pantene Youth Protect 7 shampoo and conditioner at half price - £1.84 for 400ml bottle. Supersavvyme have a 75p coupon off Pantene that you can print out, thereby costing you £1.09 for the shampoo. I went to the self-serve till and the assistant had to verify the coupon, but there was no…

You can't buy Barkeeper's Friend in the supermarkets anymore. I wonder why? Maybe because its something that actually works. I have a stainless steel sink that everyone throws teabags into and would be stained if it wasn't for the wonder BF which cuts through like a knife. However, I now have run out and have tried many…

I have seen butter for £1.10 per block at tesco and asda but not any cheaper. Does anybody know if you buy it in bulk from a dairy cheaper? Has anybody seen any 250g blocks of butter cheaper recently. This time last year it was 50p in asda!:(
