A muddle
Hello everyone, I could do with your advice. Sadly, I just lost my job - only recently moved to it and it really didn’t work out at all and we agreed to part ways, I am disappointed, and they were quite decent people, but definitely the right thing to do - the role was incredibly stressful to say the least and was not…

Overdales Solicitors Refusing to accept evidance sent
I am at my wits end, 2yrs ago I received a letter from Overdales Solicitors, saying that I took out a credit card and used said card and failed to make payments! I of course knew nothing about this and thus contacted them to ask what it was all about, they said that a card was taken out in my name on a particular date and…

I think, by error - I posted in the debt free diary section and it should be in the debtfreewannabe section - would it be possible for it to be moved there please? Many thanks.

Does a completed IVA need to be mentioned in a Will?
My father is about to make a Will. He entered into an IVA in 2016 which was completed in 2021. A certificate of completion was issued the following year. Does he need to mention this in his Will, and if so, would this impact his estate at all? Or, since it is completed, is it now irrelevant?

I feel like my situation will change for the better within the next 9-12 months (lump sum to pay back many/all debts). If I set up a TPP paying £1 a month, I'm assuming…

PayPal debt
I have over £2300 in PayPal debt and I'm struggling to pay it because the interest is 21%. I don't really understand what the interest amount means, I just know my monthly payment isn't really paying anything off. I was trying to work out a way to pay it off sooner. If I paid for an example half of it off in a few months,…

Money Moral Dilemma: Should I borrow to help my husband pay off his debt?
This week's MoneySaver who wants advice asks... My husband of just over a year (though we've been together for seven years) has got into £20,000 of debt. It's not clear how, although he's a generous person. I own the house we live in, and told him at the start of our relationship I didn't want any debt in the house. I…
