Wescot contacting partner
Hello, A credit card of mine has unfortunately been passed to Wescot collections. They have sent me texts and emails, which I have responded to. This week they also sent two texts to my partner’s phone. My partner isn’t on the account; the credit card is solely mine. I don’t know how they have got my partner’s number. They…

What small DFW things will you do this w/c 10/02
When we start on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards, and canceling Sky and the gym. But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in…

Unfortunately he did not pass his degree and had to move back home. Over the years dependant on his job he has paid a fraction back and over the last 1.5…

Advice needed on full and final settlement offer please
I have been paying off 3 credit card debts, all of whom had
been sold to debt collection companies, all accounts had defaulted before being
sold on. One of the DC companies has sent me a full and final settlement offer for
50% of what I owe them. Whilst I appreciate this is a decent offer, I would
have to ask a family…

Old Debt
Hi We are being chased for debts over 8 years old. We were initially contacted about one that is recent and were then told about at least 2 others, both of which are over 10 years old!!! We are happy to make an arrangement for the recent one (only a couple hundred pounds) but not the old ones. Can these be enforced? Thanks

How to contact banks for no phonecalls
Hello, I am sure many people asked this before, but what is the best way of telling the banks (when waiting to default) to stop contacting me on my phone, and just by post? Do I email them, or old fashioned letter? Thank you :-)

DMP F&F Discussions
Good afternoon, I have a DMP managed by Payplan which still has 2.5 years left to run. I've still got around £5,500 left to pay but will be shortly gifted around £2,500 which I want to use to pay off my debts. Payplan have said they have a dedicated team that can negotiate this for me but I'm wondering if I would be better…

Can a debt be statute barred with a Form K Restriction?
I have an old creditor that has come out of the woodwork demanding payment after years of no contact. I have looked into the debt and I believe the creditor (a debt buying company) has a Form K Restriction on my jointly owned property (the debt is in my name only). What I’m trying to establish is whether the debt can still…
