I am about to spend approx £30k + on home renovation over the next few months. I am therefore looking for an option (bank account, credit card, etc) where I can get a reward (money back for example) every time I spend?

Tax on survey incomes
I'm rather confused about the tax implications of surveys. Martin says that you can get £1000 before you need to declare it to HMRC. Does this include vouchers for Amazon and the like or are they excluded? Similarly, what about prepaid MasterCard's derived from your points? Do they count as income? I'm assuming online…

Airbnb host issues
Hi i was encouraged to become an Airbnb host and have been managing a small barn for an elderly relative. The barn was previously let as a holiday cottage, then given to a Ukrainian family for 18 months. It’s been tidied up and put on Airbnb. The guests have been lovely, the cleaning and laundry isn’t a problem, but Airbnb…

'Side hustles' & Tax
Hi everyone, I work a full-time job but I try to make some extra income through selling items, such as small antiques, online. I will have made over £1,000 by the end of the tax year, so will have to inform the tax man. In the future, if I make a healthy amount, I will get an accountant, but for the time being I am keeping…

ISAs which will pay monthly income into my current account
I am looking to find an ISA in which to put some savings, as the amount I have in non-ISA accounts is enough to generate taxable interest. Unfortunately payment of monthly interest into external accounts is not a Key Feature on the comparison sites. So far all the ISAs I've looked at which pay monthly interest merely…

Recommended Mystery Shopping Companies
I've recently taken voluntary redundancy at 58 and am looking for some more 'fun' ways of boosting my income. I'm hoping that this will be 'early retirement' and do a number of things voluntarily to help keep me sane, plus I've applied to be a poll clerk and exam invigilator. I've always kept up the questionnaire thing -…
