ISAs which will pay monthly income into my current account
I am looking to find an ISA in which to put some savings, as the amount I have in non-ISA accounts is enough to generate taxable interest. Unfortunately payment of monthly interest into external accounts is not a Key Feature on the comparison sites. So far all the ISAs I've looked at which pay monthly interest merely…

Recommended Mystery Shopping Companies
I've recently taken voluntary redundancy at 58 and am looking for some more 'fun' ways of boosting my income. I'm hoping that this will be 'early retirement' and do a number of things voluntarily to help keep me sane, plus I've applied to be a poll clerk and exam invigilator. I've always kept up the questionnaire thing -…

Wewards - reward for walking app
I recently downloaded this app. You get points every day for walking depending how many steps you take. Minimum payout is £15 and it could take 6 months to get that. You need to remember to load your steps up to the app (it feeds of the iOS health app for step counting). it also gives rewards for a daily spin and playing…

Pay-in criteria for bank switching incentive
I'm in the process of switching to Santander to earn a bonus and one of the criteria is for £1500 to be paid in in the first 60 days. I've been reading MSE's guide: If I've understood this correctly, the net amount going into your account doesn't matter at all, as long as the total incomings on that account meet the…

Raise the Tax Allowance to £15000 at no cost
Just a thought, raising National Insurance helps working people, but not people who don't pay it. Why not raise the tax allowance to £15000 and then raise the 40% rate to say 42%. The higher paid then pay a bit more tax but save on the higher allowance, meaning lower paid and pensioners get a bit more but it doesn't cost…
