Topcashback and apps

I recently brought some clothing from M&S through the Topcashback web site. When it took me to M&S it opened up the M&S app I have installed. Since buying the clothes I have had no cashback shown as pending. I contacted TCB after 7 days and they say they will wait until late December before chasing it up! On their website they say they will tell you at the time of going to the shops web site if they can’t use that app. But there was nothing shown when I went to the M&S app. Any one else had this issue? As I have more and more apps installed which I guess could affect other purchases!
