Advice needed

Hi everyone, I have invented an educational Maths board game aimed at children and adults alike. I have a professional graphic designer in place to make a top class prototype of my game with a view to pitching to games companies when this is completed.
Basically, I am looking for advice on how to raise funds/get investors on board to help me start my project.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

the main one I've heard of (and contributed to several products on) is Kickstarter which is US based. 
There is a company called Crowdfunder that claims to be a UK equivalent but it appears to be more for raising money for charity, goof casues etc rather than for developing new products, as Kickstarter is

I'd be wary of being involved in companies that claim to raise money for "goof casues" - sounds like a scam to me!

And Dazza, if you're going to be on telly, give this place a mention to the cameras while you're there!
