Is £50000 to £60000 promotion worth it ?
£60k take home salary is £3522 per month. £50k take home salary is £3038 and with child benefit (2 kids) this bumps it up to £3175. So, it's only a payrise of £350 per month or £4200 take home payrise. There are obvious costs involved in pursuing the promotion, such as stress and long hours. Is it worth it ? Any advice…

I need help to earn and save £2000 for our son's wedding in October.
My original thread was aimed at being debt free by 60. We achieved it at age 56. The only problem is that we now have no savings, no investments to draw on and we need to raise enough money to go to USA for our son's wedding. And while we are there we want to travel. I really want to stay in USA for four weeks. One week…

Tax Free Childcare
Does anyone know what has happened to the Tax Free Childcare that was due to start this year? The system was supposed to allow parents to pay into a savings account and the government would match the amount parents pay in? On the Tax Free website it just seems to be directing parents to apply for the vouchers and there is…

Are Beano comics worth anything?
I mean anything, or are they just fodder for the recycling box? They're just a tatty bunch from the 90's, so not exactly vintage. It is quite a big collection though, probably most week's worth from 1997-2001. Shall I chuck or might I get something for them?

Onepoll - payment delays compensation.
For anyone waiting a payment from Onepoll from last month, I've had an email apologising for the delay and letting me know they've credited my account with £5 :) I hadn't complained, just assumed the delay was down to Christmas. Pretty chuffed with the way they've handled it.

Starting a business from home
Hi We would like to start a food/cake business to sell home made cakes & food to local people. What do I need to keep in mind to make sure we don't violate any laws and local legal requirements?
