Pact App

I wasn't sure whether to post here or in the sports, but there is an App called Pact which pays you to exercise (amongst other things) if you work out in a gym, use other apps like Runkeeper etc. The catch is that you have to 'pledge' how many times you'll exercise per week and then if you hit it, get paid, but if you don't hit it, you have to pay x amount per missed exercise pledge. This is obviously not good if you're not committed but can make a decent amount if you are. The other downside is you're paid in dollars via PayPal. You can also register only one exercise session per day. Payment amounts per week is not consistent as it depends on how many fines were paid by other members.
I have pledged on average 4 exercise sessions per week and over a year earned about £40. im not sure if this will be of interest to anybody?

Well, if your gym is next to a coffee shop, or cinema yeah quite easily as you have to check in, but you can't downright blag it unfortunately 0

I had read about them a while back, didn't pay much attention. I use bounts and recently decided to look up pact again - regretted it immediately. Apparently there is a flaw in the app that means when you cancel it doesn't register so they still fine you for having not kept to your pact, even though it's because you've quit.
As if I need more money leaving my limited monthly budget haha.
I get 5 points via bounts free for doing over 7,000 steps with my fitbit. I am not hitting that daily at the minute, but will get back to it when I'm feeling a bit better. You also get a reward credit which you use to spin their reward wheel. I don't often win on it, but did get 5 points off that the other day
Takes a while to cash out on there but hey, it's free money so I can't complain. No more making the same mistakes!

I've been looking in to this app as well and it appears that when you cancel, your account is scheduled for cancellation on the next available sunday night, so you have to keep your pact for one more week beforehand but it does register the cancellation though.
Seems to be a bit too much for me in the short term though - if you just want to track walking, as I would likely do, these are the minimum requirements.-Your activity must be tracked via GPS
-Your activity must be longer than 30 minutes
-Your activity must cover at least 1 mile in distance
-You must maintain a speed of at least 2 miles per hour
With my current weight and mobility, it would take me at least six months to reach that minimum level.0
