Buying a holiday home to rent out.
Hi We have been thinking for a while about buying a small flat/house and rent out for holidays when we can't use it. We are thinking Scotland near the sea. We have never done anything like this before so have no knowledge on what we need to know. Any advice would be great.

Paypal problems on Clixsense, could apply to Swags etc
The quoted announcement below has come from Clixsense. It could apply to Swagbucks, Gifthulk, InstaGC etc at some point in the future (in my opinion). From reading comments, BuxP (?) had the same problem but have rectified it and they offer Paypal again. I think this serves as a warning to members to be aware that cash out…

Second Hand Trading
Hi everyone, I am currently employed, but exploring the possibility of taking on an extra self employment to boost my income. My additional income would come from trading in second hand goods. My question is, how do I declare how much I pay for items to re-sell? As the majority of this will come from private sellers, I…

Paying Tax on Secondary Income
I've got a full-time permanent job. I've also been offered a couple of pieces of work elsewhere, amounting to just over £5000. I notice I need to set myself up as being self-employed with HMRC. The site asks if I already have a Government Gateway number. I do but it's from a business I ran for a year in 2015. I have…
