Anyone ran an escort agency before?

Options
A mate of mine keeps pestering me to help him set up an escort agency with him. I've got experience with adult seo and he thinks its easy money.

To be honest hes a liability so wouldnt work with him anyway, its legally very close to the mark and the last thing you want is some retard whos supposedly co managing it to be shouting out the wrong things.

However the more i look into it the more i realise just how lucrative it really is. I'm in a university town so there are plenty of potential escorts girls around.

The promotion of such a site I'm fine with, worked in adult for years and years (promoting it online not participating). however its the logistics of it which really get me.

by the sounds of it, alot of trust has to happen, with the girls with the drivers, with the receptionist.

And then theres the matter of tax (by the sounds of it this is where most get stung).

anyway im just interested in talking to like minded people about the subject any do's and donts,

I realise this subject may offend some and if you are offended i do applogise.

  • exactly thats the golden rule, saying the right things, hence not working with someone whos going to say the wrong things.

like you calling someone a retard?
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)
  • Christine i agree, and transexual aswell but thats a different story.

I suspect the way to go is the high class route, then you dont deal with the pimps and brothel / people trafficer types.

Still though its always a wise idea to keep your identity as undoxable as possible.

It's a very grey area indeed - sex work isn't illegal but running a brothel is, as is touting for work.

I'd also suggest looking into the popular sex worker forums online in the UK that deal a lot with safety and such, should give you an idea of what a credible agency will and won't do etc.
    On the up :D

High class is not legit, it is no different to any other type of work apart from that the services offered may sound all the more palatable. Plus, the higher your earnings, the more high profile you are going to become to HMRC and potentially the police.

I have a fair bit of experience in this area, and whilst I would not discourage you from doing it, I don't believe you could be an effective madame if you haven't done the (escort work) job first hand.

As with any other business which you are planning you ultimately need to do competitor research both to understand pricing but also about operational practices etc - what gets paid to who and when etc
  • Cokaleekee: I respect your view, and the whole idea is to keep this tax legit, although I may set up a non descript LLC this will only be so that banks are less relectant to accept my business.I would not be seeking finacing from the bank. I've worked in russian pharma in the past, so have the edge in the fact i have the contacts in order to offer credit card payment.

Inside insurance: I agree totally with what you are saying, however with this industry people try to keep there identities at a low profile, Im fairly confident with the pricing and yes, its the operational practices which are my sticking point. there are a few people in the industry i have talked to however bar 1 they are all very reluctant to talk
