Wedding abroad!!!
Hi everyone, I am looking to get married in Greece next year April/May time. Our budget unfortunately isn't massive so need to keep it as cheap as possible. I only want something simple anyway, maybe a ceremony on a beach and as it is only us (no guests!!!) we would only need a restaurant to have a quiet intimate meal…

Does this reception sound OK to you?
We are on a very tight budget for our wedding. Our original venue fell through as they have been sold! Long story but we had a fantastic deal with them. Our new potential venue is essentially a pub. A posh pub, buts its quite small. They have a function room and a little courtyard - if anyone would like links to see the…

village hall/catering/kitchen size
looking at a few village halls which say they can seat 100+ and have cutlery for that many but the kitchens seem rather small (1 or 2 fairly standard sized looking ovens). am i right to assume this means they are only suitable for a cold buffet with say a few hot bits?

What are your old, new, borrowed and blue?
And are you having a silver sixpence in your shoe? My parents and I were discussing my old, new, borrowed and blue the other day, when I mentioned a silver sixpence and they said they'd never heard of that part of the rhyme. They got married in the mid-nineties. Is this a new development or an Americanism, or has it always…

Dress help please!
I went to a wedding fair yesterday and this dress was on the catwalk there...I absolutely fell in love with it and my Mum did too. Does anyone know how much it retails for, or even how much St. Patrick/Pronovias dresses usually retail for? I'm thinking it's probably too expensive for me! :( Has anyone seen something very…

Photographer pregnant, derbyshire recommendations please
Hi all, My photographer has just announced she's pregnant. Whilst I'm over the moon for her (she's a friend too) I'm worried she won't be able to do my wedding. Supermarket cheese wedding cake
We're considering killing two birds with one stone and making a cheese wedding cake using supermarket cheeses stacked together and serving it as an evening buffet. Mainly to save money, and I think its quite a cool idea. M&S sell one ready put together but I think it would be cheaper to DIY it from Tesco. Do you think…
