I've since had texts and emails from friends and acquaintances (some from years ago) saying they think my account had been hacked. I've been out all day but on return was able to go into my account and change the password. I can't see anything else…

"Free" ways to take movies etc on holidays?
Hello, my holidays are mainly camping (so no TV!) but I like taking a few movies and TV shows, for me and the kids. I do this with Amazon prime and a Fire tablet - this lets me download and then watch offline (no internet required). I am aware it is also possible to download from YouTube (although not legal) but I don't…

Smartphone Protection
Hi All, I am thinking of joining the 21st century and buying a smartphone. Is it worth investing in a screen protector (either plastic or tempered glass) for it? If so, what brands are worth looking at? Would I also need a protective case for my phone? I intend to keep the phone for as long as possible - I've had my…

Problem with new LG 55UJ63 4K tv
A friend of mine has bought a LG 55UJ63 4K tv a week ago. At first the picture was good, but last night she noticed red spots/blotches on peoples faces and some yellow blotch on what I presume would be a shiny part of the faces (like the forehead). That was on all channels, as long as the pucture was on the bright side,…

Once again my broadband is broken completely - Openreach coming this afternoon again. Last week the engineer fixed the broken phone line (underground box three miles away) and it seems that it takes a different engineer to fix the BB! Anyway, I digress. * Screen mirroring, tablet to TV. Bring back HDMI . . . *
We have a dumb 42" Sony TV purchased in May 2010 and working just fine. No reason to change it. I also have an Asus Transformer Infinity tablet, purchased 2011 but no longer working just fine: the famous 'Asus lag' is worse than ever. I've just replaced it with a new Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) 10.1 inch tablet. One of the…

Laptop for uni
Looking for views/advice on a laptop for uni for my nephew please. For the older nephew 4 yrs ago I bought a Sony for £499. It was an excellent purchase.
