Problem with new LG 55UJ63 4K tv

Options
A friend of mine has bought a LG 55UJ63 4K tv a week ago. At first the picture was good, but last night she noticed red spots/blotches on peoples faces and some yellow blotch on what I presume would be a shiny part of the faces (like the forehead). That was on all channels, as long as the pucture was on the bright side, darker pictures were not showing it.
I did tell her to try to play with the picture settings to see if she can get the picture back to good, but now I don't know if it will do any good, I don't understand why the picture would be good for a week, then turn to carp.
What should she do?

She should do a retune/factory reset. Make sure 'shop mode' is off, and try the different modes, and sources (plug a blu-ray player in or something.
Sounds like contrast/brightness/backlight/colour is set way up too high.
Turn off all the 'enhancements' because they're usually 'not enhancing'!

On LGs you want brightness around 55-60 and contrast around 80-90, sharpness set to 0. The Movie preset is the most accurate out of the box for colour.

They've gone back to the shop with the tv, but the tv was working fine there, so that was a waste of time.
They played with the settings and turned off all enhancements, now they end up with a picture they like.

Brightness, colour and sharpness turned up to full no doubt.
