Firefox Spell checker issue.
Can anyone explain why, no matter how many times I reset my spell checker in FF to English UK, it keeps reverting back to English US? It is frustrating having to constantly change the settings back when it tries to tell me its not colour but color, tyre - tire, authorize - authorise.:mad:

Reluctant to download W10
Am I being over cautious? I have a fairly old laptop (about 6 years) with W7. It is currently working OK and I am not very technically minded/confident. I am tempted to ignore W10 until I need to replace my current one. I am going to back up my documents again today (done reasonably regularly) and try to create W7 back up…

Scam Windows 10 Downloads
I suppose it was inevitable with the lemming-like race by early adopters to download W10 that the Phishing Brigade would seize on this golden opportunity. It seems that there are already a number of very realistic looking but fake emails and popups doing the rounds claiming to be from reputable companies like Dell and HP…

Dropped an iPad on to my phone. iPad's corner landed directly on the cameras front facing camera area. Smashing the whole screen in the process. I replaced the screen, but the camera won't work. Neither the front camera or rear camera. Then I replaced the front camera thinking it took the impact so it must be the culprit…

New SSD confusion!
I'm thinking about getting an SSD for my PC. I've seen some amazingly fast SSDs that connect via PCIe, but I'm a bit confused as to whether I'd be able to boot from one, and what speeds I'd be able to achieve. I want something really fast, but there's no point buying something faster than the PC can cope with! (Although,…
