untrusted connection?

i cannot log into some of my accounts and keep getting following messages
This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to secure.tesco.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified.
What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

please help
thanks
Nice to save.

Are you running the latest FF, I do recall there was an issue with with a particular FF release that tried to force a type of encryption but was buggy and quickly canned.

    Hi
It might be that this really is an insecure site, trying to be a Tesco "clone". This is the actual Tesco SECURE site address, check that you are using this: -

    https://secure.tesco.com/

secure.tesco.com is incorrect. The 'https://' part, is the actual secured website that Firefox means.

Your PC may have been attacked, do you have an antivirus? Dowload and run malwarebytes Free-

    https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/

Notice the https:// part again? For other "Untrusted" sites, look for the same part of the address at the top.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.
  • Also try resetting your host file to default with the MS fixit tool https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/972034

Is it laptop and a Lenovo by any chance ?

I'm thinking superfish as the root certificate for that is now untrusted.

Just a shot in the dark.

? Have you tried IE .... It may be that the Windows root certificates are out of date .

If you click on the show details about the certificate what does it show

On my Linux FF it says valid from June 2015
