28" LCD screen quality
A friend of mine has bought a 28" lcd screen and is using it as a computer screen and a tv. I think it works fine as a computer screen, if a little large! But the quality of the picture on the TV is (IMO) awful. He seems to think it's fine, but the black colour is red and "pixely". Is this normal? Not really sure of the…

smitfraud-C
I have just spent the last 3 hours trying to sort out my mates PC! AVG picked up 4 viruses - got them sorted. On the toolbar at bottom right hand corner was a (fake) windows alert that came up with a security warning message about the computer being infected with spyware and click here to sort it - clicking took me to a…

PC Power use on Stand-By
I rarely 'switch off' my PC, merely put it in 'Stand-By' as it will then switch back on instantly. People tell me this uses significant amounts of electricity, yet I'm not convinced. Surely if something is using electricity to any degree it will get warm, yet the fan is never activated when in Stand-By which suggests it is…

TV Help - Colours gone - Repair or Replace?
I have a cheapo Bush Widescreen telly and the colours have gone (as we moved it on its stand after packing up the Xmas tree). The edges of the screen are pinky, none of the colours look right and when you get the blue bar up on Sky it is pinky red at the edges and purple in the middle. Is this going to be a reasonable…
