Medion 17" TFT - Not very well!!!

Options
Hi, I recently (very) bought a Medion TFT Monitor from Aldi. It was very easy to set up and I am not a techie by any means. It replaced a very old CRT so you can imagine how delighted I was. It was bought as a Christmas gift to me so has had very little use. (Mainly surfing internet and the occassional email) This afternoon, it has 'gone off'. It only had one sympton and that was the screen just went blank/black! There is a 3 year guarantee with it, but am I within my rights to ask for my money back tomorrow. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Sallysaver

I'm sure Aldi and Lidl give a 1 year money back guarantee - no quibbles. I took back a scanner to Aldi after almost 11 months and they gave me cash no problem.
Money can't buy you happiness, but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.

I don't know if its true for the medion but many manufatures will ship you a replacement and collect the faulty one as part of the warranty.

You can find telephone number and email address for support at http://www.medion.co.uk/

Do check it's not the power cable come loose first though!

If you have another spare monitor it's probably worth trying it on your PC to make absolutely certain that it is the TFT monitor that is at fault.

You shouldn't have to use the warranty, just return it to your local store. My ALDI still has some of these, maybe yours does if you are willing to give them another try.

I have bought 2 of these and they have been fine. I have had monitors from ALDI before and they are still working perfectly. I think you just had bad luck.
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!
