Me been trying all day to update dd computer, now its gone that slow it wont bloody move, and it atill aint updated xp2, my daughter is now having a head turn, wheres them crying smilies

I have undone what i had done today, thank god it seems ok again now, and from now on i think i leave things well alone :rotfl: well for now :rotfl:

Helen21 - Glad to hear the good news. It's important that you get SP2 (and the other Microsoft updates) installed on the machine if it isn't already on there.
As other guys have posted elsewhere it's usually available on the cover CDs of the main PC magazines in the UK.

Helen - I can understand the nervousness, but SP2 is really important. There are a number of other members who have been hit by al sorts of viruses and scumware because they haven't installed SP2.
Getting rid of those is much harder...take a look at the following thread if you want to see the difficulties.

instead of trying to do it from the windows update download the network version here so you've a physical copy of it incase it won't install on the update.0
