ISA v Pensioner Bonds
I've about £25000 in an easy access ISA currently paying 1.5%. I've been wondering about whether to put £20k of the ISA into the 1 and 3 yr pensioner bonds before the deadline on may 15th. Now i've just read about the personal interest allowance of £1000 announced in the budget and if I've understood it correctly this will…

Stock Market-Linked ISA
Hi All, I'm after some advice re. my Legal & General Stock Market-linked ISA. I'm 22 now and, thanks to great advice from my parents (save, save, save), I invested £5,000 in a stock market-linked ISA in 2011. It was over a six year term, so is due to expire mid-2017. I usually obtain a value yearly and today I was informed…

THe pension has an annuity option built into it and for this reason the Insurance company wont let me do it without a an advice declaration being completed by an IFA. Declare ISA on self-assessment?
I don't understand who needs to complete self-assess tax form with regard to savings. Guidelines say anyone who 2,500 in untaxed income from savings and also anyone with savings income of 10,000. Do either of these include a person's ISA investment?

Tax on a child saving account
I have just received a letter from the Bank stating that they have made an error when registering my childs account and 10% tax has been applied to his account for the last three years. They have told me I need to complete a 4 page R40 for a tax deduction. Like most banks, I can't email them so I will have to pay to ring…

A question of Capital Gains Tax.
I have capital with an investment company after selling my shares in a SIPP and an ISA. I want to purchase Pensioner Bonds and realise that I have limited time left. Trading shares for small regular investment
can anyone recommend the best way to invest £50-100 a month to buy and sell shares. I am guessing the best way would be to save 4 months at a time and then buy one block and pay the trading fee. Is there anyway to buy smaller blocks of shares for lower fees?

Apologies, as there isn't a general forum I have placed the thread here, but if there is a better…

Explain ratesetter to me please..!
Apologies, but i find the ratesetter website a bit confusing. I have lent money out on zopa and it seems clearer i.e you put money in pot and it gets segmented into lots of smaller loans to spread risk etc. I am currently interested in the ratesetter monthy product. I see there is no segmentation setting and so money gets…

Share dividend - how does this work please?
The next HSBC share dividend is paid tomorrow, I get mine in shares. Do I get shares based on the share price tomorrow, or is it based on the share price the day the dividend was announced? The price has gone up about £1 a share in that time so it will make quite a difference in the amount I receive. Can anyone help please?

30 day rule for B+B exactly 30x24 hours?
I'd like to know if the 30-day bed and breakfast rule actually means 30x24 hours exactly, or if it just means 30 days, no matter what time of day it is. So I sold my shares on the 31/03/2015 at about 6pm. So can I buy back tomorrow on 30/04/2015 9am? Or would it have to be later than 6pm instead?

Is This a good time to switch?
I have posted before on the pensions board with a similar question. I have a stakeholder which I have had since 2001 it now has approximately £58000 in it. I have known for sometime that it is a less attractive platform for saving into a pension. So, enter the SIPP route, but why is it that I have the jitters? Is this…
