How can I tell how well (/badly!) my investments are doing?
Hi everyone, I've never been into this part of the forum before, so apologies in advance if I ask anything silly! Where is the FTSE going?
Where do you think the FTSE 100 is going on Monday? It retested the 3453/3454 level nicely before its close on Friday and moved up a good bit. So will it continue to rise because its been through the worst or is it going to continue to fall?

With sterling on the wobble I would appreciate any comments as to the advisability of moving out of stirling into the euro please. We have about 50k at present in reasonable accounts - shortly coming to an abrupt end. We don't need to live off our interest but are looking to reinvest to draw on in about 10 years time. Our…

Equity release question
Hi I hope this is posted in the correct section, as I wasnt sure where to put it, but here goes. My parents (both retired) did equity release with Northern Rock back in 2002 for approx £35k. Putting salary in savings account
I was thinking of putting my salary in a savings account due to better interest rates. I will be putting it in an instant savings or e-savings account, which pays monthly interest. Is this allowed? I read the T&Cs and nothing is mentioned on this issue. I assume it's ok to do this? Suggestions appreciated.

Shares model broken?
Are we just pouring our pension & retirement savings into a bottomless pit? Equity model broken - Times Investors have simply not seen the reward for putting their capital at risk over the last quarter of a century. "...equities have not produced a real return in excess of risk-free government bonds in any period shorter…
