high interest savings account
I want to put a £1000 cheque into a high interest savings account - I do want to be able to withdraw from it as well rather than it being stuck in an account for 12 months or anything. Would also like to be able to visit a branch of the bank it's with, so don;t really want an oline only bank! Any ideas? :confused: Thanks

Does this amount of interest sound right regular saver account?
I have just had my cheque through after my Leek Building Society 1 yesr regular saver has come to an end, It has not earned very much interest. I have been paying £250 for 12 months and I am sure the rate was 7%. Anyway i have got interest gross and I have only earned £123 . Does that sound right? Thanks
