Yup, but u dont now get £50 each/recommender for opening an a/c!0

If the 8.5% is limited to balances up to £2,500 then it's a better deal than their
Premier Regular Saver at 12% for 250/month by about £17.50 gross over 1 year0 -

I was only thinking of starting with a lump sum.
I forgot the big picture, which I was only just talking about in another post.0 -
The Ad "New Customers only" springs to mind!0

[STRIKE]£12.95 monthly fee.. ...still looking good?[/STRIKE] Sorry, it's £10 per month - but only for the 'Premier 50' account which was paying 7% for a year previously. The Premier Direct just needs £500 per month paid in.....under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

Unlike some other banks, we won't charge you a monthly fee for running your account. We offer free banking as long as you remain in credit, and fund your account with the minimum requirement of £500 per month.I am a Chartered Financial Planner

Right, that's it, I am going to close my A&L accounts down. I opened the Premier Direct Account when it was 6.1% and that hasn't changed for me even though newer members got 6.5%. I am not going to trail that far behind when I could get 8.5% as a new customer. I believe you have to wait 3 months before you reapply so I might give it a go again then, if nothing better comes along. As Martin always says: "Loyalty doesn't pay."Reclaimed thanks to this site:
