From IceSave but to where?

I have just transferred my ISA to IceSave following Matins money savings tip. However along with my other savers account with IceSave I am well over the £35000 savings guarantee limit so I want to transfer around £3000+ to a new account.
What are the best accounts to transfer to? I know IceSave is a tough act to follow but I am hoping there are other good savings accounts out there.

I wouldnt bother. Whats going around now is simply rumours from competitors that are jealous of the deposits its now got.
The money markets have been flowing well for a few months now.0 -

Thanks for your reply.
That was a interesting response, however I am a little uncomfortable with so much of my capital tied up in the one place. I was brought up on the mantle of not putting all your eggs into one basket.0 -
If it's not a silly question - would it be a good idea to follow martin tips again and choose one of his other highly recommended accounts from his top list? This site is just excellent :T0

This is a savings account not a buy to let or hedge fund.
I really would spend more time worrying about it, worry about not having enough fun, hey why not just blow the 3K going on a nice holiday :rotfl:0 -

Iceland is nice this time of year ...Imprudent granting of credit is bound to prove just as ruinous to a bank as to any other merchant.

Bradford & Bingley eSaver (2) is offering 6.4% (although interest rate cut not been applied yet!).
Is online and next best to the 6.41% IceSave were doing.
If you really want to split your funds up, that'd be the way to do it. I'm over the 35K thing too, but not worrying about it - though mine is with the B&B"A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0
