Can they extend…

Redundancy And break in service. Also info on reason for Redundancy.
Hello This is for a friend who is not great with electronic things at all. Anyway the main part of the question is that he has worked for the company for over 12 years but had a breach for just over 5 months. So if he is made redundant will it only be taken on the last 3 years or will it be assessed on the 12 years? Thank…

VR - such a gamble
Hi all. I know no one can give educated advice tbh but just wondering if anyone has any strong thoughts? Currently work for a airport (the airport, not an airline or handling agent). They have just offered company wide voluntary redundancy for the 2nd time in 3 months which tells me how bad things are. Airlines are pulling…

Redundancy. Tax reclaim
Hi. I was made redundant last June and paid higher rate tax. I've taken a break since then. Does anyone know if my income tax overpayment will be automatically sent to me. Also, I've been PAYE all my life and never had to do a tax return as company did them. Do I have to do one myself for 19/20. Thanks in advance

Do I have to apply for alternative roles on offer?
About half of the company I work for have been on furlough for the last few months. On Monday we were told that 10 of us were at risk of redundancy with 4 positions being created which are in effect hybrid roles to allow the company to down-size while keeping as much ability as possible. The problem I have is that none of…

Redundancy after 5 years fixed term contract
I've worked on a yearly fixed term contract for 5 years now. I've just had notice that my position is at risk of redundancy from next month (July) and I need a consultation with my manager. However, I've been asked to train another member of staff to do my role - which is unique to the business - and wondered if this is…

Voluntary redundancy
I’m a company that’s is making a large number of staff redundant. VR has been offered however we have been told that this could be rejected if your skills need to be kept in the business, which is understandable. I have now been told that if VR is refused you are still not safe and can still be made compulsory redundant.…

Redundancy whilst on part time furlough
Hi I have worked for the same company on a full time basis for 7 years. I am currently on furlough and I can see my employer bringing me back in August part time with the rest being made up with furlough. If he then makes me redundant, will my redundancy pay be based on part time instead of full-time.

Redundancy help and advice needed
Hi hope everyone is keeping well during these difficult times. My place of work is asking for volunteer redundancy with an incentive, if not enough people apply then they will move onto compulsory but with no incentive. I also have a few loans (car etc..) and have a very small part time home business. My question is that…
