EGG! PPI Claim and/or debt enforceable
I have had business with Egg probably for over 10 years. A mixture of credit cards that became loans, that freed up credit cards to become more loans etc. Eventually in January 2006 they tied the lot into one loan of approx 12k. Later on in 2006 I found myself on a DMP, this I paid for up until Jan 2011 and then stopped. I…

Do I have a claim
Help please. I was sold PPI when taking out my mortgage in 2000 with Coventry building society. The PPI was through Aviva, then Norwich union. At the time I was told if I did not take the PPI I was unlikely to get the mortgage, so I took it out and still paying for it. Can anyone tell if I have grounds for a claim. Thank…

PPI Confusion
Hi some advice please. Found all our mortgage paper work and it clearly states that we have paid over £5600 for protection in 2003. I spoke to the mortgage lenders and they said it was nothing to do with them. So after more digging the payment was to the advisor Carrington Carr Ltd. I have read that Carrington Carr Ltd. no…

Where do I begin?
Hi everyone, This is probably quite simple to do but I just want to make sure where I begin. I've promised for over a year now to help my father in law claim any ppi back that he is owed, and finally now have the time. The situation is relatively simple as he couldn't claim on the ppi as he is a self employed landscaper…

10 year old bank statements
Hi 1st thread! Does anyone know how I can get old bank statements prior to 6 years ago? I'm after statements from 7-10 years ago so that I can see what loan I had with who with a view to reclaiming PPI? Or is there something else I can do? Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong bit - I'm new to this and very green!

Mortgage Lifetime Protection - Possible to claim back?
Can anyone please tell me if it is possible to reclaim these payments? I took out a mortgage in 2001 for approx. 25% of the property value. The bank insisted that I would only get the mortgage if I took out this type of policy although I did not have any dependants at that time. My son and daughter were out at work and not…

I need some advise please... I used Investor Compensation to get my PPI back and at first all was going well, I filled in the forms and they got some money back for me, and took their big fees. Halifax PPI
Can I claim. They say no. Took out a PPI on mortgage with Halifax costing £120 per month. When I moved the mortgage, the new lender said that my PPI was incorrect as my employer paid full sick for 6months and 50% pay for further 6 months. In fact my PPI could have been cheaper per month had the Halifax explain this to me…

They said no to my claim
Hi I am sure someone can advise. I called the PPI claim line at LTSB and asked them to look into a couple of my accounts as PPI was included and I hadn't been told. I have just received a three page letter outlining the reason why they have reached a decision that I don't have a case. Can you advise me of the next steps to…

Hi All, Last week I posted about Blackhorse offering me a pro rata rebate (no repayment of PPI premiums, just the extra amouts i would have paid in interest over the course of the loans). When did PPI selling commence?
Had a search but couldn't find the answer. I've seen reference to PPI mis-selling in the '90's. Is there any evidence that it was also happening in the '80's - ie. is it worth trying to dig out old paperwork from around that time or is the probability negligible or zero of it being applied at this time?

Hi all, Thanks in advance to anyone who can help and takes the time to do so. I've had 2 loans with Natwest both originating from 2004 when I left University to start my first job.
