Can I request some form of compensation?
I had taken my car in to Lookers Fiat for a service on the morning of 12/03/16. I had a call from the dealership to say that my car would be ready to collect at 11am. Shortly after I collected my car, I then got a call from my insurance company (because I have a black box) - telling me I had been speeding. My insurance…

Curry's / PC World business account set up without my knowledge
A couple of days ago I had a laptop in mind that I wanted to buy so headed to Curry's / PC World because it was the lowest price. When I was paying I was asked for my name, address, email and oddly "are you self employed or a director?" to which I told him I wasn't. I understood the details would be used so that if I had…

Anyone had experience of taking a complaint to these guys? If you look at the figures on scottishombudsmanwatch.org, you can see that in 2004-2005, there were 1387 complaints but only 9 were investigated! In 2007 to 2008, there were 2881 complaints and 390 of those were investigated. The SPSO say they want to 'raise…

hmrc tax bills for scammed pension victims
Not sure if this is the correct forum to raise this issue, but it is a serious issue that needs someone to bring it to the public's attention. A relative of mine, during a very low period in his life suffering from severe mental illness was duped into a pension scam that promised to release £25,000 from his private pension…

Amazon prime now - Praise
Just used Amazon prime now for the first time. Order placed at 9:30am. Arrived at my house at 10:05am. What a great service. You can track the delivery driver real time and see where he is. Plus using code TRYITNOW has saved me £10. I have even tipped the delivery driver £2 as it was well worth the money.

'official' complaints
I've seen this phrase loads of times on mse but never really questioned it. Is an official complaint any different to a complaint? Why do people use this phrase?

I did a home shop on 5th Nov that came to £123.49, but on that day my CC was billed for two amounts: £123.49 and £2.85 My Asda groceries account shows my order as coming to £123.49, so what is the £2.85 for? I rang the online groceries helpline... The guy I spoke to at Asda Groceries said the £2.85 was because, when the…

Petrol prices
The garage near me (Esso) was taken over last year around November/December. All the pumps we refurbished and they redid the shop. It now has a Greggs and a Subway. The price of petrol is higher than other garages in the area. I checked last night and unleaded was 105.9. The garage down the road was 100.9.

Small claims - against the police?
Probably wont get anywhere since it's against the police. I'm asking for someone who's a bit stumped as to how they go about this & don't really know where to begin to look for advice on how. Basically they were out for a drive & had a passenger who had some marijuana on them. He wasn't smoking it in the car, he just had…

Curry's complaint handling procedure
Long story short...or pretty much 'the whole story', had a fridge delivered from Curry's, unboxed and discovered it didn't have any legs and noticed that the floor had been scratched because of this, the front of the fridge was scraping directly against the floor and the process of moving it to try and get the rest of the…
