Anyone had experience of taking a complaint to these guys? If you look at the figures on scottishombudsmanwatch.org, you can see that in 2004-2005, there were 1387 complaints but only 9 were investigated! In 2007 to 2008, there were 2881 complaints and 390 of those were investigated.
The SPSO say they want to 'raise (raising) awareness of the SPSO amongst the general public...' (I wonder what for?)
The figures from 2014-15 on the SPSO website are difficult to understand. They say they received 4895 complaints and 'dealt with' 4802 - what do they mean by 'dealt with'?
What was the ratio of rejected complaints: investigated complaints within the 'dealt with' total number?
