Amazon prime now - Praise

Just used Amazon prime now for the first time. Order placed at 9:30am. Arrived at my house at 10:05am. What a great service. You can track the delivery driver real time and see where he is.

Plus using code TRYITNOW has saved me £10.

I have even tipped the delivery driver £2 as it was well worth the money.

35 minutes? Where do you live? It takes the driver hours to go from the warehouse to drive around the streets dropping off packages before they get to my house.

I don't pay for Prime though.. I'm on at least my fourth trial period for free. My partner and I alternate between trial periods every few months.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

It's a new service that they offer only to prime members. You have to use the special prime app and not everything on Amazon is on there. I think this is now available in most of the U.K.

ok if you have the honour of living in London cant see it happening anywhere else in the country unless you live next door to a distribution warehouse

They don't always get it right, but on the whole I can't fault Amazon. I ordered an ink cartridge last night, £7 cheaper than anywhere else, it arrived at 9am this morning - and that was on standard free delivery, not Prime.

(And no, I'm not in London either!)

I live in a 2 hour window for Prime Now delivery. Always takes them about an hour to reach me - very happy with that.

I hate it when my stuff gets sent next day by Royal Mail, but I'm a big fan of Amazon Logistics and the Prime Now drivers. Say what you like about Amazon, they've really nailed delivery!

The Prime Now app on my iPhone indicates that it only covers Birmingham, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Newcastle - so it doesn't even include all the areas with Amazon warehouses nearby. As I do live close to a warehouse I've found, like tomtontom, that an evening order usually results in a delivery the next morning.

I need to place an order for Jello so that I can have a go at making gummie lego bricks - that will be Sunday afternoon fun for my mum to have with her granddaughter whilst I relax with a glass of wine. :T

Doesn't cover me either and I also live very close to a warehouse. DD has a 6 month Prime Student trial which we make use of a fair bit. So impressed by it that we might actually splash out on it once her trial is over.
  • I doubt the stuff comes from one of the regular warehouses. I would expect there to be warehouses specifically designed for Prime Now orders.

Really hope it comes to Scotland soon!
