Trust me...I'm a bank robber.
Recieved this today and it gave me a laugh...I thought these emails were supposed to try to convince you to trust the sender? Ah I see...so you've committed fraud against the company you work for but I'm still supposed to trust you with my bank details? Of course I will. Can't see any problems with that at all....

Central Driving School Manchester
A friend of mine, living in Manchester until recently, foolishly agreed to pay £600 upfront (via bank transfer) for a block of driving lessons back in June. The shyster then made a string of excuses as to why he could neither give the driving instruction (e.g. unwell father) nor refund the money (e.g. business not so good,…

Groupon - non fulfilled voucher - refund in Groupon credits!
can this be allowed? I recently purchased a Groupon voucher via my credit card, but the voucher has not been redeemable due to being unable to contact the company on the voucher. Groupon have agreed to refund the voucher - but by credit to my Groupon account, which is valid for only 6 months. Previously if a voucher was…

Wickes adding more than 2.5% "VAT"
Has anybody else experienced any issues with Wickes? On 17th Jan, I bought a 10 litre tub of emulsion priced at £17.99 on the shelf. When I got to the checkout, I was charged £18.87 - when I queried the price I was told it was the new VAT addition and retailers have extra time to change all the labels on the shelves (fair…

M&S Furniture Delivery
I just had a small piece of furniture delivered by M&S and was rather disappointed by the service. I was told a couple of days ago that my slot time would be 3pm - 7pm but the driver would call on the day between 7am and 10am to give me a more precise time. I didn't get any call so phoned CS who said I was 13th on the list…

Specsavers - Doin my head in
I've had a letter from specsavers (well actually it's about the 9 zillionth letter spreading over the last 18 months) telling me that "due to a change in the regulations regarding the supply of contact lenses we will be unable to supply you with your contact lens pack." I've had loads of these and they always still send me…

I called the company up and they sent parcelforce round to collect the unit, And assured me another would arrive soon, yet…

Well done Pizza Express
Went to Pizza Express with my DD last Sunday and ordered one of the Simplice salads which was supposed to be made with buffalo mozzerella. It wasn't, it was bog-standard mozzerella which is much blander and of a tougher texture. I mentioned it at the time and was assured that it was but they couldn't prove it as they had…

Garage air pumps
I've tried seven garages this morning before I could find one with a working air pump - and that was at Asda! And that one was dodgy. Most were broken or vandalised for the coins, which, at 50p a shot is probably most attractive to opportune thieves! (That is, stealing with intent rather than the garages charging these…

Book People - PRAISE!
I just want to say I buy something (or, more accurately, some thingS!!) from The Book People pretty much every time they send me a booklet. Their prices are fab - I got quite a few Xmas presents for less than half what they would be in the shops - and the delivery is really quick. Example: I ordered some books at 8.25 am…

Hotel Has Stolen Our Christmas Party
Hi, I work for a retail store, and we had arranged for a Christmas dinner and disco at a local hotel on 18 December. A deposit was paid initially, followed by the balance based on final numbers. On the day of the party, the weather was treacherous, with icy roads and public transport cancellations, and the assistant…

Drivers and headlights
Having a rant here, Whats the deal with drivers(cars and vans) only having 1 head light working or not turning them on when its dark like your meant to, it only requires a little piece of common sense to replace the bulb or to turn your lights on. Surely from a safety perspective both headlights should be working.

My Doctors Surgery-aaaarrgh
Got told by my surgery that they could not deal with our holiday jabs, because our itinerary was too complex. We are going to Singapore, New Zealand & Borneo. They told me they could only see us if we were going to two destinations or less. Even i know NZ is safe & i was pretty sure Singapore was as well. Surgery would…

Post going to wrong address
Well my post has been a little thin on the ground lately but Ive just had my mail delivered and it's been written on the envelope that it was sent to a different area in my city. Basically I live in a particular road in the city centre itself, but it turns out that there is another road with the exact same name 10 miles…

Belkin Praise
I've had a Belkin wireless router for about 6 years and recently it started to develop a fault. The reason I chose Belkin initially was that they provide a free lifetime guarantee (I've previously used the guarantee on this product because of a fault that developed with the power supply and so they sent out a new supply).…

Post Office Online Stamp Ordering
 As I'm pretty much housebound I ordered stamps online on the 4th January (couldn't do phone ordering as it was their bank holiday still). They took the £21 from my account on the 4th - but still not had them and its now the 17th!! Site said to allow 7-10 days but I thought it would be quicker - as usually quite good…
